Location

The hotel is located between the Bastille, the historic old town of Marais and the railway station Gare de Lyon. Links to the public transport network are to be found directly out front. Within a radius of around 500 m there are bars, tourist attractions and shopping amenities, while there are parks just around 700 m away, the city centre is approximately 2 km away and the Opera district is just about 2.5 km from the hotel. Paris - Orly is 9 km from the hotel and Roissy - Charles de Gaulle is 17 km away.

Facility

55 rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services and facilities include a baggage storage service, a safe, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a business centre and a smoke alarm. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     Decent hotel. Convenient for gare de Lyon. Clean, smallish rooms, nicely decorated, and with all facilities you'd expect. My suggestion to the breakfast team is to raise the temperature of the eggs and bacon which we're not hot enough on either of our days. Also....you are given a tiny plate ....only one....so think about the order you want to eat your breakfast.I eat a very small amount.....but I like a bit of fruit, a slice of bread & jam, and a small portion of bacon/eggs.....but all on the same plate? I understand why they have chosen to restrict plates and cutlery....it probably stops people being greedy and then wasting food, but it's gone a little too far I think?Good selection of food at breakfast, you can ask for GLUTEN FREE and they allow you to choose from some little pre-packed items (some biscuits, or crackers or muesli) I'm very grateful they have this

    A middle of the road hotel. Breakfast good and attentive helpful staff. Unfortunately air-con to our room seemed inactive and there were signs of house keeping not checking rooms with just in and out!Pictures wonky on walls which is just a big give away for lack of attention to detail 😬

    I have just stayed at Le Marceau Bastille for 3 nights with my 14 year old daughter.We had an amazing stay, all the staff where amazing and very helpful.Our room was amazing and it was spotless.Breakfast was very good.Good location to the Bastille square which is very lively.Also a 14 min walk to the Batobus stop Jardin des Plantes, which is a river boat that goes along the Seine and stops at all the key tourist attractions, we used this a lot as did not want to brave the metro.Walking around a night we felt safe in this location.We also got upgraded on arrival to a Privilege room that was a unexpected bonus.Its a bit of a challenge when booking Paris will all the districts, really happy I made the decision to stay at this hotel in this district.

    We recently chose the Marceau Bastille for a much needed trip across the Channel, staying four nights. From the moment we arrived we found it really welcoming, with the staff a very strong asset, being friendly and approachable. Our room wasn't huge, but it was big enough, with a comfortable bed, nice decor and a well designed bathroom. Breakfast was served in the main atrium, and we found it to be very good - a decent range of breads, pastries, meats, cheeses and assorted other bits and bobs.
