Not even close to luxury hotel

    rating01 May 2026

Please avoid this hotel. I think people should know what to expect before booking this hotel. From the moment I checked in, things were already off. The room was clearly not properly cleaned. There was visible residue in the toilet, hair left behind from a previous guest, and even basic items like hand towels were missing. This is the kind of thing you would expect to be checked carefully, especially at a hotel that presents itself as a higher end property.I brought this up to the front desk on the first night and asked for a manager to follow up. No one ever did. During my stay, the issue was never properly addressed. Even by the time I checked out, there was still hair in the room. The service experience was just as disappointing. The hotel seemed very understaffed. There were multiple times when the front desk was unattended, and guests were left waiting. At one point, another guest was even given the wrong room, one that was already occupied. That alone says a lot about how things are being managed. What made this experience worse was how my complaint was handled afterward. Instead of acknowledging the issues, management responded by questioning my account of what happened. That was honestly more frustrating than the original problems. When a hotel chooses to challenge a guest’s credibility rather than address clear issues, it raises bigger concerns. For context, I travel often and have stayed at many high end hotels. This experience was far below what I would consider an acceptable standard, especially for a property associated with a luxury brand. If you are considering staying here, I would strongly suggest thinking twice.

Disappointing hygiene and incorrect billing practices

    rating29 Apr 2026

While the rooms themselves are lovely and tastefully decorated, our stay was marred by significant service and cleanliness issues. Upon arrival, we found the housekeeping to be substandard, specifically finding hair on the bathroom floor and in the toilet. While we were initially willing to overlook the cleaning lapses, the billing issues were unacceptable. The hotel charged a city tax for all four members of our family, including our children. We later learned at our subsequent hotel in Paris—which was a far superior experience—that children are legally exempt from this tax in France. As international visitors, we trusted the hotel to bill us correctly, but it felt as though they took advantage of our lack of local knowledge. Despite my husband escalating this to Hilton corporate, we were informed that because this is a partner property rather than a managed Hilton, they could not resolve the overcharge. We chose this location for its historic charm, but the lack of integrity and poor attention to detail made it a poor value. I would not recommend staying here.

    A Parisian treasure.

    rating19 Apr 2026

Our stay as a retired couple could not have been better. We were treated like royalty our whole stay. It is located in a wonderfully quiet but central location in Paris. The room was elegant and romantically Parisian. The staff and breakfast were classic. Coffees were spectacular. After dinner out we arrived back and were offered aperitifs in lobby we took to our room. My bride of 47 years and I felt like we were on our honeymoon. Should you stay here ? Absolutely.

    Over the top fantastic stay

    rating19 Oct 2025

I was worried about staying here because of some of the negative reviews that I read here. However, let it be known that we did not encounter ANY of the negative issues that have been reported. Our room was amazingly beautiful and roomy, especially for being in the center of Paris. The location was FABULOUS. Easy walk to anything we wanted to do and nice area. The staff was FANTASTIC. Just absolutely wonderful. Our every need was attended to and they were so kind and warm and welcoming. We felt like we were coming home at the end of each day. The breakfast (which was inclusive for us because of diamond hilton status) was good. The breakfast room was cozy and charming. We were absolutely satisfied with everything here. Our room was clean, well appointed, comfortable, (the sleeper sofa not so much but we didn't use it a lot), and elegant. The staff were worried that we wouldn't have enough room for our luggage, but we just unpacked it into the closets and drawers and nooks and had plenty of room to store our luggage up above in the closet. We also have to mention Monsieur Gargouri who appeared to be managing while we were staying there. He was so warm and friendly, accommodating and kind. He went out of his way for us and it made our stay so much the better. We will for sure stay here again if given the opportunity. Loved it!
