"Absolute Nightmare" – Avoid This Hotel

    rating16 Oct 2025

This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We booked six rooms for a group of adults and twelve-year-old girls, and every single room was appalling. The only redeeming quality of this property is its location. Everything else was a complete disaster, earning this place the name "Paris Tower of Terror."Cleanliness and Maintenance FailuresThe state of the hotel was shocking. Common areas were unclean, and the rooms were rarely, if ever, properly serviced. Our rooms featured mold in the bathrooms and dust on the shelves. The maintenance issues were just as bad:Air Conditioning was broken in my room, blowing hot air. When we reported this, the front desk simply handed us batteries to replace in the remote ourselves.Refrigerators and blow dryers did not work in any of our rooms. The entire building echoed constantly. Every door close or conversation in the hall sounded as if it were happening inside our room. Every time we walked into the hotel we were shushed by the staff. Unacceptable Service and PoliciesThe staff was rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional from start to finish. Our shower flooded on the first day, and when we requested extra towels to clean up the water, we were met with a baffling policy: only two towels per room, per day, even in a flood. No staff member offered to assist with the water cleanup.Furthermore, we were never informed we had to leave our room keys for daily room service, which is a bizarre and unheard-of practice. Finally, our group of twelve-year-old girls, who were simply getting ready for bed after 11 PM, were repeatedly accused of being loud or disruptive by a constant complainer—even though they were just talking and laughing. The staff constantly catered to this one person and failed to show basic hospitality to paying guests.Between the broken amenities, disgusting cleanliness, and complete lack of professional service, this hotel was a miserable nightmare. Do not book here.I wish I took more photos over videos b/c I am unable to upload videos here.

    Paris Tower of Terror

    rating14 Oct 2025

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, but this place was an absolute nightmare from start to finish! We booked six rooms, and every single one looked like something out of a horror movie. On day one, the shower flooded, and when we asked for extra towels to clean up the water, we were told we could only have two towels per day. No exceptions. They didn’t even offer to help us clean the mess! The air conditioning blew hot air even on a 70-degree night, and the refrigerators and blowers didn’t work in any of our rooms. We were a group of 6 adults traveling with 6 twelve-year-old girls, and the experience was miserable. The girls couldn’t even talk or laugh in their rooms without one particular woman constantly complaining to management. We were never back before 11 PM, and the girls were simply getting ready for bed — not being loud or disruptive — yet every night it became a problem. I’ve stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the worst experience ever. Between the poor service, broken amenities, cleanliness and lack of basic hospitality, this hotel truly earns the name “Paris Tower of Terror.” Alexandre Guzelian, Directeur général at Hotel Mayet, responded to this review Dear Guest,We are truly surprised and disappointed by the tone and content of your comment. Your group had reserved seven non-refundable rooms at a significantly discounted rate, booked three months in advance. One of the guests did not show up, and you requested a refund — which is not possible under a non-refundable policy that you clearly accepted at the time of booking.Regarding your remarks about cleanliness, please note that you never left your room keys at the front desk, as required during check-in. Our housekeeping team therefore had no access to clean your rooms. Complaints from several other guests were also recorded during your stay, due to loud conversations and noise late at night. As for the photos you posted, they do not reflect the reality of our establishment. They only show minor dust in the staircase, which is inevitable given the daily passage of guests from 24 rooms, and a wall in the corridor currently being repaired after a recent water leak. These isolated details are clearly being used to unfairly discredit our hotel, which is regrettable and unjustified. We understand that traveling with a group can be demanding, but mutual respect between guests is essential. Our staff works day and night to maintain cleanliness and provide the best possible service. Your comments are unjust and inappropriate given the circumstances.Sincerely,AlexandreDirector, Hôtel Mayet – Paris 6ᵉ

Hidden Gem in a quiet part of Paris

    rating14 Apr 2025

We chose this hotel because it is right down the street from where our daughter was living this semester. I was pleasantly surprised (although I shouldn’t have been by the other great reviews!) This is a charming hotel in a great area of Paris. All of the staff was helpful & kind. The rooms are small, but we didn’t spend much time in out room - too much to see. Great proximity to the metro & some fun restaurants. Our room was clean & tidied promptly every day. Alexandre Guzelian, Directeur général at Hotel Mayet, responded to this review Dear Letty,Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It truly means a lot to me and the entire team at Hôtel Mayet. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciated both our location and the service provided by our team. We hope you had a great time visiting your daughter and exploring Paris, and we would be thrilled to welcome you again in the future!Warm regards,Alexandre,Hotel Manager – Hôtel Mayet, Paris 6ᵉ

    Great Stay

    rating14 May 2024

Very nice place to stay. Our room was small but we had everything we needed. Fresh towels were provided everyday and beds freshly done on the daily. Room had AC and had a street view. Very quiet area and close to the Duroc and Monrltparnasse-Bienvenue metro stations. Grocery store and pharmacy right around the corner from our hotel. Hotel staff were really friendly and accommodating. They helped guide us with how to navigate the city.
