    Getting tired - not sure about using it again

    We have used this hotel quite often for an overnight stay en route. It is ok but, like other older Mercures (similarly in Beauvais ZA) it is getting a bit tired. It is essentially a business hotel which also takes bus tour group so very quiet on a Sunday night - but that was ok & weekend price deals can be good (comparable to basic Ibis). This time (booked thru an online discounter) we were allocated a room on 4th floor next to lift shaft, even though the place was barely 30% occupied. It seemed quite a bit smaller than previous ones & lift motor noise/mains hum was noticeable. The room was clean & bed comfortable but there was a problem of a very slow shower drain which housekeeping should have noticed & fixed. Staff were friendly.

    Wonderful place.

    Nice and comfortable during my two weeks stay. Manager and the staffs are wonderful and really helpful. The room and bed are spacious. Location is quiet . Transport is great. 5 minutes to shops and 12 minutes to the nearby railway station. Will definitely come again.     Possibly a poor experience due to the refurbishment work in progress, but aside from a good bed not much to say.Car park full, and it isn't an area I'd want to park my car on the street.Restaurant food dull, bar area uninviting.Breakfast in a conference room, and really poor quality. Surely the one thing you should be able to rely on in France is a good quality croissant and good coffee?     Easy to reach and very simple

    The best first... this hotel has very nice staff. They helped us a couple of times and were really good. The rest is below average. The hotel is not in good shape. Things start to get a bit old. The worst was that our son almost got hit by a door of the wardrobe... it almost fell on him!?Will look for another place next time...
