    Plus on location and breakfast

    rating24 Oct 2025

Stayed here 4 nights for work. Was not very much welcomed by the checkin lady. She didn't want to change the room as it was at the street side and she didn't offer the welcome drink. Rest of the staff were friendlyHotel is well located. Beds are fine. Breakfast has plenty of choice. They are proud, rightfully, not to use any plastics. Very good breakfast; fresh bread of different types, lots of sweet choices, fresh yoghurt and fruit. Just the water from the machine for the tea is not hot enough. Suggestion to install a water cooker. Elevator sounds like it will collaps any time. Despite staying at the street side the noiselevel was not too bad. MercureParisAlesia, at Hotel Mercure Paris Alesia, responded to this review Dear Simon,Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry about your welcome experience and will take your comments into account to improve. We are pleased that you enjoyed the breakfast and the location. We hope to welcome you again.Kind regards,The Mercure Paris Alésia Team

Location: it is far from sightseeing .closed to metro station.no good restaurant nearby for having breakfast so you should have breakfast in the hotel .small lobby and small lift.one supermarket is closed to it for buy water and so on.Room: Honestly I don’t feel safe in the hotel .the room was small and dark .Breakfast:we hadn’t try it.Reception:not very helpful in giving you information if you have a question. From CDG to the hotel 65 Euro charged by taxi.I prefer to stay in another hotel if I visit Paris again. not a good hotel

    rating29 Jul 2025

This hotel is 3 stars .Lobby is very, very small, almost nothing. The siz of the room is OK but the bathroom is small. The location is good next to the metro station, but you need to change the line for going to Eiffel Tower ,Luver museam, and so on.Not good restaurant or coffee shop around it for having breakfast, so you should have breakfast in the hotel or go a little far from the hotel. From the CDG airport to the hotel cost 65 Euro. We didn't try breakfast. Syrine Chebil, Propriétaire at Hotel Mercure Paris Alesia, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions of your stay.We appreciate your feedback regarding the room, bathroom size, and the small lobby. We are glad that you found the location convenient, with easy access to the metro, even if it requires a line change to reach some major attractions. We also note your comments about the limited nearby options for breakfast, and we hope that our hotel breakfast or nearby alternatives were helpful during your stay. Your observations are important to us and will be shared with our team to help improve our services. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide an even better experience in the future.Kind regards,The Reception

    Way below expectations

    rating20 Jul 2025

We stayed as a couple in this hotel for three nights. We chose this hotel based on the reviews, but it turned out to be a very inappropriate choice. The hotel is located in the city of Paris, but not very close to attractions. However, I cannot complain about the location as it is very close to public transportation and you can get to the Eiffel Tower, for instance, in around 30 minutes by bus. It is an old building that has been renovated, but still looks tired. The check-in counter is a joke for a hotel claiming to be 4-star. It is smaller than many apartment lobbies and a few steps away from where they serve breakfast. We arrived early and the room was not ready, which is totally fine considering the tourist season. We left our luggage at the hotel and started sightseeing. Our room was on the top floor (7th). As soon as we entered the room, we were totally shocked, because it was the smallest hotel room we had ever seen. There were scratches and lines on the wall. The wall on the other side of the bed was leaning inward so it was difficult to get into the bed from the other side. There was no fridge in the room!!!! The view from the window was so disappointing that we decided to keep curtains closed the whole time. A piece of tile in the bathroom was broken. The shower area was too small; I could barely fit in and take shower. The sink in the bathroom got clogged after a few seconds and we had to wait for some minutes until we could use it again. There was an old air-conditioner that was leaking the whole time so we put a glass under it. There was only one bottle of water for two persons and the funny thing was, the next day when I asked for a bottle of water from the reception, they told me we should bring that given bottle downstairs and refill it there!!!!!!!!!!! Of course, the next day, when I asked another receptionist, he provided one (thank you for a bottle of water!). I read some good reviews about the breakfast, but to me, the breakfast was below the standards required. There are two coffee machines that worked very poorly and if you need hot water, you should wait for almost a minutes to get a glass of hot water. There is no omelet option, but only scrambled egg, but the scrambled egg finished very soon and then, it took over half an hour to be refilled. The salamis were not fresh. A few choice of cheese, which were not delicious at all. The orange juice was good, though. The first morning, when we were having our breakfast, a guy came to us and asked for our room number without even a dry smile with a very serious look. This was the first time we were asked our room number at our table while we were having breakfast and we felt uncomfortable by this and the guy's way of asking. Normally, hotels have a staff at the entrance to the breakfast area checking the room number with good manners and smile. Overall, the breakfast was the poorest one I have tried among the 4- and 5-star and even some 3-star hotels I have stayed at. One night, we called the front desk and asked for a dental kit, but the receptionist told us to come down and get it because there is no body else except him !!!! All in all, it was very unpleasant stay at Mercure Paris Alésia, although we didn't let this bad accommodation experience ruin our magnificent Paris trip. I don't recommend staying in this hotel, at least until they make considerable improvements in their property and services. I previously had some enjoyable stay with Mercure in Spain and chose this hotel accordingly, but now I am not sure about choosing them for my upcoming stays. Syrine Chebil, Propriétaire at Hotel Mercure Paris Alesia, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay.We are truly sorry to hear that your experience at Mercure Paris Alésia fell far below your expectations. We have previously had a very good stay at this hotel, it’s a great location for getting around so it was an easy choice to return for our latest trip, however our experience this time was very different. We went away with some friends, both our rooms were on the 7th floor, our first night the air con was very noisy and the room temperature seemed warm, we went out the second day and when we returned again the room was warm and we noticed the air conditioning was set to the fan mode, we tried to change this but it made no difference, our friends in the room next door also started having issues with the air con both of us ended up turning it off completely. We tried to sleep with the window open but the noise coming from the street was so loud we had to close it. We spoke to reception about this and they seemed surprised and said they would get a technician out to it. Needless to say this didn’t happen and we all had sleepless night due to heat in the rooms, when we checked out and we were asked if everything had been ok we told them no, we’ve not slept properly due to the air conditioning not working, the receptionist then admitted that they are having issues with it on the 7th floor! Having looked at other reviews this is clearly an ongoing problem that’s not looking like it’s getting fixed anytime soon! Syrine Chebil, Propriétaire at Hotel Mercure Paris Alesia, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your experience with us.We sincerely apologize that your recent stay at Mercure Paris Alésia was disrupted by issues with the air conditioning on the 7th floor. We fully understand how uncomfortable this must have been, particularly with the heat and street noise affecting your sleep. This is clearly not the level of comfort or service we aim to provide, and we regret that the technician did not attend as expected.Your feedback has been escalated to our management team to address this ongoing issue and ensure it is resolved as quickly as possible. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you and your friends experienced and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We hope that, despite these problems, you were still able to enjoy your time in Paris, and we would welcome the opportunity to restore your confidence in our hotel in the future.Kind regards,The Reception
