    A visit to Paris

    rating30 Sept 2025

Got here after a long long trip, totally exhausted. Our driver phoned ahead to reserve our dinner tables for 7,30. Room was ok, but reception slow due to staff shortages. Had shower, went to the bar. A very ordinary glass of red( small) wine and a G&T. €21.50 euros!!!! What!!!! So DONT bother getting ripped off at the bar. Got to restaurant had to wait 45mins for a very ordinary starter platter to show up, then que for it. Main course come long after 9pm I gave up and went to my room. Others waited for the main course, which they reliably told me was tasteless fish, a gruel type watery mushroom risotto and bits of chicken. Broccoli overcooked and mushy…it was a joke!!! For gods sakes don’t bother with dining at this place it’s rubbish probably due to Mercure not securing enough staff to enable an efficient hotel to be run. Room is ok, use that but find a bar a decent restaurant is my advice. Oh and the mini bar fridge is locked so you can’t use this either!! We stayed in room 117 good luck if you come here!!! Lost items in the hotel

    rating05 Jul 2025

I checked in on June 22nd around 9pm. The fridge in the room was locked, so I checked with Reception as I has bought 100Euro worth of cheese and butter wch I needed to keep cold. They said to bring it to Reception, which I did. I wrote my room number in a piece of paper and placed that in the plastic bag wch I tied. When I was checking out at 6am on June 26th I told the guy at the Reception (who spoke little English) that my cheese and butter were stored in the fridge. He went to the kitchen to check but he indicated to me that there was nothing in the kitchen fridges…He went and checked twice but came back empty handed. I was most upset, and he gave me the number of the Hotel to call but it went to voice mail. I have not heard from anyone since then. I will not recommend the Mercure Hotels in Europe. I should have asked for a luggage tag for my goods in the fridge, but it was also not offered to me, as is the usual practice in hotels in Asia.

There was something seriously off about this hotel

    rating21 Jun 2025

I stayed here for 4 nights in total with my family .Firstly The hotel was not up to the mark of Mercure hotels.Let me start by saying the AC in my room wasn’t working properly for the entire stay.I’ve complained to the Staff at the Reception Multiple times during my stay and all they told me was the technician will come in the afternoon he’ll have it checked .My whole family went to sleep SWEATING ALL THE NIGHTS THAG WE STAYED THERE. The lobby and the corridors were much more colder than the room itself .After continuous requests either to have it fixed every single day , finally on the last day they provided me a small Dyson air cooler which did almost nothing .Secondly , the hotel room I booked said that I would get a coffee machine and a refrigerator in my room , but they didn’t have either , and when I went and I asked at the reception, they said none of the rooms have refrigerators as they aren’t working.Yes , there’s more .There were 2 lights in the bathroom out of which only 1 was working for the whole stay, despite telling the staff at the reception this. The bathroom door didn’t lock , Nothing was done about that either .The shower fittings? The shower knob was falling off the wall.We were a family of 4 people in the room and only 2 bath towels were given every day;I had to go down to the reception and request for 2 more towels every single day .Last but not the least :Their restaurant is closed on Weekends which is really disappointing. The morning breakfast was the only thing good about this stay ,not the best but it was alright .Certainly did not enjoy the stay .Wouldn’t recommend .

    Clean, reasonably priced, good location

    rating25 Oct 2024

We stayed here for a long weekend and found the hotel to be in a good location (if driving) with lots of parking. The hotel was clean, reasonably priced but very basic. The room was a decent size for a family and we could just see the Eiffel Tower from our room (which was a nice surprise). On one of the days we took a 15 minute walk to the train station and caught the train into the centre of Paris for sightseeing. This worked well for us as a day trip but the hotel is probably too far out if you planned to do this every day. I also would not feel comfortable taking this walk alone as some of it is away from well lit/well used paths. GENNEVILLIERS MERCURE, General Manager at Mercure Paris Gennevilliers, responded to this review Dear Azkash,Thank you for sharing such a detailed review of your stay with us. We’re delighted to hear that our convenient location, cleanliness, and value met your expectations and that you enjoyed the view of the Eiffel Tower from your room – what a treat! We’re pleased that our parking facilities and proximity to the train station contributed positively to your experience, making it easy to enjoy a day of sightseeing in the heart of Paris. However, we understand that the distance may not be ideal for daily trips, and we appreciate your note about the walk to the station. Your feedback is invaluable and will help us guide future guests on how best to plan their visits. We hope to welcome you back for another comfortable stay, whether for business or leisure.Warm regards,The Mercure Paris Gennevilliers Team
