    Disappointed...

    rating31 Dec 2023

Checking in process receptionist friendly, we was then advised oh you Have a privilege room!! I never asked for one !!! and to find the price was different from what was qouted !!! , and then wanting to add injury to insult, she wanted to charge me another 40 euros for 2 breakfasts !!! I think NOT !! We declined the breakfasts!!! We headed up to our room. Firstly, the room had an overpowering sickly smell of airfreshner !!! If this was a privilege room 😳😳😳 small, to say the least !!! Towelling bathrobe and slippers !! Dosn't quite cut it !!! ! god knows what size a standed room must be like then !! , Kettle didn't work ..so wanted to ring down to reception to advise ! No contact reception number obvious!! TV Information is not working ! My point was that this was bad enough ! But if you were unwell and needed help in an emergency, how could you ring to get help quickly !! We Was told if they could find another kettle, they would bring it up !!! 😳 really, that is how you treat your guests!!! Food okish....So NO, we won't be staying here again ☹️☹️☹️..

Pleasantly quiet but not cool enough (literally). Free airport shuttle

    rating12 Jul 2023

Mercure Hotel in Rungis is located very close to the Orly Airport and there is a FREE bus shuttle transportation to this hotel (if you can figure out which bus to take). Thankfully, Mercure hotel is also one of the first hotel stops that the FREE airport bus will drive to because the last 2 hotel stops could not add any more people and they ended up needing to find another method to get to the airport. The Mercure Hotel was surprisingly, pleasantly quiet. The air conditioner couldn’t get the room any cooler, so we just slept without blankets. Just don’t ask for extras, like an extra pillow because they won’t give it to you. There is also a cheap bus stop (located on the same side as the Mercure Hotel) located immediately in front of the Mercure Hotel that will take you towards Paris. But you need to take the Metro to get the rest of the way to Paris.Mercure Hotel Restaurant made a solid burger and pizza. The burgers and fries were cooked perfectly. Although the cheese on the pizza was quite thick, my daughter thought it was a perfect amount. We didn't pay extra for their breakfast. There's also a McDonald's located next door.Don’t forget to make a stop at the Les Saveurs de Rungis bakery which is located around 1 mile from the Mercure Hotel. Sadly, this bakery is not on Trip Advisor/Yelp but was more delicious than the 3 bakeries recommended to me by my Parisian friend. Get the Merveilleux Aux Chocolate! I regret not trying the sandwiches here.

    Bad breakfast

    rating14 Jun 2023

Hotel near the airport, it has a free shuttle that makes this trip to it. The hotel is located about 50 minutes from the city center. The rooms are pleasant and spacious, the breakfast is very bad, before it was in a quiet room, on an upper floor where you could see the city, at the moment it is on the ground floor, there are not many options, the eggs are very liquid and weird, and they don't do scrambled eggs, fried, other options, so it's the only option we have. The fruit is not fresh, it comes in soaked pots and tastes bad. The croissants were wonderful.Considering the price and the hotel in general, next time I would choose another hotel.

    Horrible Accor and booking rules

    rating14 Jun 2023

I booked this hotel and they charged me 415 € for two nights ( I am currently going through the ordeal ) and on top of that some whopping 162€ as some Tax recovery and other charges. Which is 40 percent of room tariff for two days. When most any European city hotel charges city tax which is either 1 or 2 € per day per guest. Appalling and enough of rudeness by everyone. Accor hotels. Better watch out.

    Standards are slipping

    rating18 Jul 2022

Ok so it’s top rated hotel in the area. I would agree with that however I find it shocking that standards seem to be slipping then. I arrived at 2am in the morning and checking was pleasant and easy. Room is spacious and beds are comfortable. However is was not pleased to find this skidmark on my duvet when I tried to retire. OMG I was appalled and could not sleep in those sheets very well. I was too tired from 9 hours of travelling to get it sorted there and then. I told the receptionist in the morning. They took my room number and I had to assume it would get fixed. It did, but no apology or anything. With Novotel next door I will and will recommend many colleagues also to go there. I won’t be back.
