Location

This hotel is located in the heart of the Vélizy economic sector, opposite the Vélizy 2 shopping centre. Guests can find restaurants and shops 50 m from the hotel and links to the public transport network just 100 m away. It is only 10 minutes from Versailles and 20 minutes from Paris, offering guests an ideal base for stays in the region. The Eiffel Tower is 13 km away, the Champs-Élysées is 15 km, the Louvre Museum is 20 km and Disneyland Paris is 60 km from the hotel. It is also close to the N118 and the A86 motorway, giving great access to Paris, Versailles and Orly Airport (15 km).

Facility

Guests have a choice of 182 non-smoking rooms located in two 7-storey buildings with lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     Mercure is a 3-4 star hotel with big rooms but needing an upgrade. The hotel is quite comfortable if you take rooms on the higher floors of superior or privilege category. The hotel provides decent breakfast, the usual scrambled eggs, bread, cheese and sautéed veggies etc. the breakfast has vegetarian items too. The hotel is very close-by, only 5 mins walk to biggest mall in Velizy, Westfield. The hotel doesn’t provide dental kit or slippers for classsic and superior room types. Do carry them incase you are booking one of them. The staff is nice. The food good. Good stay

    The outside of the hotel is the 1st hint this is a below par establishment. Reception is modern enough up on entry and check in was OK. Arrived around 5 maybe 6 pm entry to my room was delayed as the room wasn't ready. The room was very tired and 90s looking. The room was clean but the wall paper was coming off and bubbled (evidence of a leak maybe) there is a a safe. Breakfast and restaurant were good and the wood was good. Could hear clearly othe occupants and it sounded like they were in my bathroom when they used the toilet. The was are clearly very thin and not sound proofed. 2 stars are for the clean room, Breakfast and restaurant but that's it. Crossed of the team list of hotels to stop in during a stay in the area.

    The bedroom was clean and comfortable, but had no small toiletries or sanitary bags.I was dismayed to find that many of the plates in the restaurant were chipped and some of the mugs were stained.

    The hotel didn't have the heating system working in the lobby, the bar and in the restaurant. Outside the temperature was -4°, inside maybe 10°. I had to have breakfast and dinner with the coat on ! there were portable little stove around to mitigate the temperature. Incredible for a hotel that pretend to be 4 stars! No apologize from anyone at the hotel, I paid 100% the cost.In addition, during the check out, my colleague found 30€ charged for bar service that didn't take place. They anyway took the extra money from the credit card and after having checked the mistake, didn't provide the reimbursement on the credit card, that is the fastest way to give the money back! and the lady on the counter wasn't friendly at all during the circustance. I'll never go back at the Mercure.
