Location

The hotel is situated next to Versailles castle and a 20-minute drive from the Eiffel tower and around 35 km from Orly Airport, while Charles de Gaulle is around 45 km away. It is also close to the very important shopping centre Parly2, with restaurants, shops and public transport within easy reach.

    DO NOT STOP HERE. Dirty, Poor standards, deception and attempted theft!!!!!

    Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the room provided was not as described online. The condition and appearance differed greatly from the images, which was both disappointing and misleading. After raising this issue with staff, we were moved to two separate rooms rather than the family room booked. While these were an improvement, neither room had functioning heating, making the stay uncomfortable and inconvenient. Unfortunately, the situation worsened the following morning. After checking out, we realised that a bottle of Creed eau de toilette, valued at approximately £300, had been left in the room. We contacted the hotel within a few hours—at which point the room had not yet been occupied by new guests—and were informed that the item had been found.Based on this, we incurred a £50 taxi fare returning from our next destination in Paris to retrieve the item. However, upon arrival, we were told that the perfume had not in fact been found.Fast forward 24hours and we then sent an official complaint to head office. Miraculously the perfume was then found by the hotel the day after. This was clearly an attempted theft but with overwhelming evidence, they had no choice but to “find it”. Overall, this experience—from misleading room descriptions, lack of basic amenities such as heating, to the mishandling of a lost personal item—has been extremely disappointing. We officially asked for a refund to cover our two trip back from Paris to collect our belongings but this has been ignored.

    I was Traumatised by the Breakfast Waiter who told me to leave the breakfast room with my little dog Bertie. He failed to mention that we could eat in the bar and suggested we eat in the bedroom. I was travelling with a friend and paid for two rooms (plus two breakfasts at €16 each). We expected to eat together but each room only had one chair and no table!It was an aggressive act by the waiter. I am short and recently widowed and my little dog is my support dog. I had to say “N’Avancez Plus” several times and hold my hands up in front of me. I am awaiting a refund of at least the breakfasts that I paid for but was denied.     Hot house in summer!

    The worse thing about this hotel is that it is indicated on their website as having Air Conditioning. IT DOSEN’T. It has air cooling which was hopeless when the temperature is above 18 degrees. We were given a fan to cool the room, but all this did was to circulate the hot air. This is not the fault of the staff but the owners of Mercure Hotels who have given false information on their website. The staff tried to appease us as much as they could and tried to move us to another hotel with A/C but no suitable rooms were found as we planned to stay in Versailles for three days. The room was clean, beds are a bit hard, which suits me but not everyone. Disappointed that the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but Westfield Shopping Centre just across the road which has plenty of restaurants. Didn’t participate with breakfast so cannot comment. Plenty of free car parking, but some distance from Versailles Palace.     Very Disappointing

    This was the worst hotel booked by our Filipino tour group for a 4-country European tour. Carpets are old and stained; rooms are dated and dark; and amenities are lacking (no slippers/no toiletries). But what was worse is how this hotel made us feel discriminated upon. Our group of 38 was assigned to take breakfast in a small, enclosed, make-shift room, where they brought food from the main dining area. This is an understandable arrangement on its own, but the room was too cramped for guests to move freely and did not have enough chairs to accommodate the entire group. At the same time, although there was not a shortage of food brought inside, you will eventually feel degraded when you see how the main dining room looks like and the available food choices. I do not believe it is a question of competency as this hotel has been operating for years. If at all, this hotel promotes discrimination and is not consistent with the Accor brand. The management of this hotel should be revamped, as it promotes the wrong culture among its staff.     Thank you for a lovely stay. Stephanie, the manager, was very helpful and understanding. The hotel is perfectly located for visiting the Palace of Versailles.The location is also excellent, if you’re passing by Paris en route to the south or the west. I would stay here again and recommend it.
