    Not 4 Star

    rating27 Dec 2025

Forget the glossy online imagery, this hotel is rundown and shabby. Booked an executive room with balcony for 4 nights over the Christmas period. Contacted reception within a few minutes of checking into room. No heating / air con which wasn’t ideal as Paris is currently FREEZING. Light switch without its’ front plate, thick black mould in shower grouting, a broken bed leg and the fancy armchair was heavy stained and unsanitary. Hotel receptionist and maintenance person visited room to listen to my concerns. A portable heater was supplied and lighting switch facia fitted but no remedy to my other concerns. When checking in, during some casual banter I was told hotel was around 70% full. I found that odd as when I asked for a room change or upgrade ( at my expense ) I was told nothing as available until the next day. On checking at reception the next morning, they had no knowledge of the conversation from the night before as that receptionist was now on rest days. The whole sorry saga is now with the booking agent and I’m looking for compensation or refund. I would not recommend this shambles of a hotel.

Good for a short stop over. Bit of a diamond in the rough.

I was happy to stay at this hotel, as previously I had stayed at a Novotel in Cergy in Paris. I would describe this one as adequate rather than amazing.First the good points.Staff charming and unswervingly helpful. Check in and check out was smooth and efficient.Room well appointed and comfortable. Best part of the room was the bed. I slept like the proverbial log.Reasonably well located. We found a bus rank around the corner which served the main areas. Tip is to get a NAVIGO card. Available at any metro station. The noise levels were normal. Breakfast was decent. One cool point was you could fry your own eggs or omelette. Normally when I go to such places the fried eggs are like rubber.Bar had a decent selection of both soft and alcoholic drinks. Now for the bad bits.It is in a bit of a run down area. We saw lots of boarded up buildings and numerous people sleeping rough. Don't bother with the evening meal there. Very poor selection. Not what you expect from the French.View from the room was of a series of tower blocks.Prices quite steep. But this is Paris. While adequate, if I return to Paris I will pay more and stay in a better place.

No aircon for 6 day stay (32-35 degrees in Paris)

    rating11 Sept 2025

What an experience. We have stayed in numerous Novatel/Accor chain hotels and as such expected a certain level of comfort. We stayed here for 6 nights with Paris temperature around 32-35 degrees c - with no working aircon ! They didn't say anything on check-in and we initially figured it was the room have been closed up for a few days. But, the fan just cycled warm air. The staff repeatedly changed the story as to when it would be fixed and what the issue was. We found out the ac had been broken for at least 5 days prior to us arriving. On reading other reviews this is not uncommon for this hotel, for whatever reason (broken/turned off). Some staff were polite, others were plain rude about it. (we were also told - just open the windows. Yeah its 35 degrees out side!)The fridge in the room is not a real fridge it is a cooler and the first one didn't work at all (had to beg for it to be changed over), and the 2nd cooled slightly after about 24 hours. The bar did give us ice on request - not sure if this is only because the ac was broken or if this is normal. Each level has water coolers which are awesome and cold.Location is pretty good -close to train station, and if you walk in the direction of the Eiffel Tower there are patisseries and restaurants that are pretty good.I could not recommend this hotel, as it tarnished our stay in Paris.
