    Room 619

    rating31 May 2026

I stayed at this hotel during the May heatwave, when temperatures were above 32°C, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We arrived on Thursday, 28 May, and immediately discovered that the air conditioning in our room was not working. I reported it that evening and was told to press the button until the light turned green, which would indicate that the system was operating. We did this, but no cool air was produced. A member of staff came to inspect it and confirmed that the air conditioning was not working. We were given a fan and told that a maintenance engineer would attend the following day.On Friday, 29 May, the maintenance engineer visited our room and again explained that the green light meant the air conditioning was switched on. We explained that we understood this, but the system was still not cooling the room. He said the hotel had experienced an air conditioning problem the previous day but that it had now been fixed. We went out for the day, only to return that evening and find that the air conditioning was still not working.I reported the issue again on Saturday morning, 30 May. The receptionist told me there was a problem affecting the hotel and that the air conditioning would work for around two hours before switching itself off. He assured me that the issue was being looked into. However, nothing changed. When we returned to the hotel on Saturday evening, the air conditioning was still not working, so I reported it yet again. The receptionist on duty seemed surprised that the issue had not been resolved. When I mentioned what I had been told earlier about a hotel-wide problem, she said there was no such issue. I explained that, had I known the problem would not be fixed, I would have requested a different room. She informed me that no alternative rooms were available. After three days of repeatedly reporting the same problem during extremely hot weather, the issue was never resolved. The inconsistent information from staff and the lack of a satisfactory solution made for a very uncomfortable stay.Upon leaving on Sunday 31st May, the receptionist asked if I’d enjoyed my stay. When I told her that I hadn’t and the reasons why she said the air con only works in France if the temperature is above 22 degrees. I informed her that the temperature had been above 32 degrees for the last week and the air con had not worked at all! Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Misleading Air Conditioning – Be Careful When Booking

    rating10 Apr 2026

I recently stayed at Novotel Paris Issy-les-Moulineaux for a work trip and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The main issue — and one that travellers should be aware of — is the air conditioning. The hotel advertises air-conditioned rooms, however during my stay this was not available at all. I was informed that the system was still set to “winter mode” and could not be switched to cooling. This meant room temperatures were sitting between 21–26°C, which made the room uncomfortably warm, particularly at night. To be clear, this wasn’t a fault — it appeared to be a deliberate operational decision, which I found very disappointing. If air conditioning is advertised, it should be available when temperatures reach that level, or at the very least clearly stated at the point of booking.A fan was provided, initially broken and extremely noisy, and later replaced with a working one. However, a fan is not a substitute for proper air conditioning, and it did not resolve the discomfort. There were also billing issues which reduced confidence further. On one occasion, drinks ordered by my colleague were incorrectly added to my bill and paid before being noticed. On another, I was quoted €54 for two beers that should have been €17. While these were corrected, it left me feeling that I needed to double-check everything rather than trust the charges.Additionally, on one evening close to midnight, a suspicious female individual entered the hotel and appeared to be scanning guests’ belongings before leaving. This occurred in front of staff, which raised some concern around attentiveness. To be fair, the staff themselves were friendly and polite, and the room itself had good potential. However, the key issue remains:👉 Air conditioning is advertised, but not actually available depending on the time of year. - I have never experienced a hotel refuse to put it on.My advice to other travellers: if you are sensitive to heat or expect air conditioning, check directly with the hotel before booking to avoid an uncomfortable stay.

    Poor Sleep Quality

    rating03 Jul 2025

Just a quick review. Pros:Good location with train station just across the street. Large room (family suite) witth shower rub and sink separate from toilet and small sink. I found this odd at first but quickly appreciated the functionality. Friendly staff. Cons:Way too loud. The hotel is on the corner of two streets, one of them being very busy. The flooring they use is not conducive to noise reduction. We could hear the people above thumping away all night. Hard beds. Tiles, walls etc are in need if repair/cleaning. AC very weak. Had we come a few days earlier during the heat wave, it would hsve been unmanageable.

    Improvement needed for customer service

    rating29 Jun 2025

I spent three days at the hotel for a business trip and paid for my stay as requested. However, three days after my departure, the hotel charged my company credit card an additional €55.80 without prior notice or any further information. I reached out to the hotel to understand why this extra charge was applied, but despite sending multiple emails over the past month, I still have not received a proper response or an invoice. I find it very disappointing how they handle guest complaints.
