Avoid Extremely disappointing experience — we left within minutes of checking in

“Avoid Extremely disappointing experience — we left within minutes of checking in.”Extremely disappointing experience — we left within minutes of checking in. Our stay at this property lasted less than five minutes. The hotel is currently undergoing major external construction, something that was not disclosed prior to arrival. The lift is barely large enough for one person and a suitcase, and even then it only works intermittently. The condition of the rooms was unacceptable. The room we were assigned had holes in the ceiling, worn‑through carpets, and an overall dilapidated appearance. We had prepaid for the stay, but after seeing the state of the property, we immediately left to secure alternative accommodation—which, thankfully, was excellent. We contacted management with our concerns, but they have so far declined to respond. The photos online do not accurately represent the current condition of this hotel. I strongly advise caution before booking.

Don’t waste your money on this hotel

    rating23 Sept 2025

We spent two nights there. For 350 euros and a 3 star hotel we expected much more. Tiny room, wallpaper already came from the walls, everything old and run down. Shower head was moldy. It was just very unresidential overall and we didn’t feel comfortable. Plus point for the location.

    Please avoid!

The worst place ever. Promiscuity is the keyword to define that kind of place for around 150 euros/night.If you're claustrophobia, don't book. A really nightmare. When I arrived at that place, I had to find and book another hotel quickly. I couldn't even carry the babysit with me in the unmaintained and narrowed elevator. Don't even talk about the bedroom.

Terrible!! You’ll struggle to find another hotel worse than this one in Paris.

OMG! Where do I start, there is so many things to list what’s wrong with this hotel. I don’t have all day to waste typing a terrible review which it deserves. My only regret is not having a body cam attached, cause for sure an Oscar award for best comedy horror would be a just reward for enduring a single nights stay from the hotel from Hell. Seems like the only thing they got right with this hotel is the name ‘Opera’ (Oscar Award) Deauville (Devil). From the start there was a breakdown in communication due to the fact the receptionists english was reduced significantly. After a long trip and checking-in you might want a nice hot shower before going out. Expect just under warm at best. Instead you might want to top up your body temperature with a cup of hot tea, well, expect to share a tea bag if you are travelling with a partner. When I asked for more tea bags at reception, I was told ‘I gave you that one for free’. Also, the combination of luggage, stairs, and lifts to your room, should flow smoothly like most hotels ‘Right!’… Nope, instead it is the moment your nightmare begins and you start to realise and say to yourself ‘DAMM IT!! why didn’t I F¥€%ing!! read this review on tripadvisor before I booked this hotel from Hell’. Not only did the coffin sized lift breakdown the first night, which meant we had to climb up several flights of a very tiny spiral staircase. Finally getting into our room, we could here our neighbours through the paper thin walls all night. Dusty small rooms, and unclean shower, we couldn’t get out of this hotel quick enough. Honestly not worth the price, pay more if needed but avoid this hotel from Hell, not just for your holiday experience, but more importantly health and safety reasons. You have been warned.
