    Quiet and Charming

    rating18 Mar 2025

I had an unexpected stay in the area and found this place to be perfect for what we needed. The rooms were very clean, grounds were quiet and charming! The property manager was attentive to our needs and even gave us some history of the area! Perfect stay!

    Manager very rude and agressive

    rating29 Jun 2019

I am writing this review because on the morning of check out I got a hard knock on the door at 11:05am, I was greated by an angry manager demanding that I leave as check out was at 11am - he was very angry and shaking and it shook me up as I thought he was going to drag me out of the room. I showed him my booking which clearly stated check out was 11:30am. He was not happy but said ok by 11;30am you have to be gone! he was furious! I could not believe it! then he said I AM THE MANAGER!!!! like dont even try complaining about me as im the manager. I stayed at this property one night on my way to south of France. The location is nice but the room looks nothing like in the pictures. It is very basic and had lots of dust. I arrived at 7pm to a lobby with no lights on. At first I thought the place was closed then I found my key on the desk with my name on it. I was very hot and the rooms were boiling as they have no aircon or fans. There was also no wi-fi and it was advertised to included but it did not work.I would not stay here again as the behaviour of the manager was disgusting!

    Spooky

    rating28 Sept 2016

We had a late arrival 9pm and had to walk a very dark pathway to the back. Lighting is terrible. The lobby was open but no one was. Lobby was dark and the hallways were dark. Nothing locked. End of hallway doors were open for fresh air. Reminded us of the Movie the Shining. The town is small and everything is closed up. Hotel is on the hill so everything is dark. Room was clean. We could not sleep much because we were spooked out.

great location for small town visits

    rating04 Jul 2016

The rooms are tiny, but come with everything you need and a small kitchenette. The bed takes up most of the room and is quite hard. There is no AC, but at night (in June) the temperature drops and it keeps the room cool. It appears people also live in the upper floors so the smells are interesting, but it is Europe so who knows. We stayed here for a wedding nearby and the most economical way to get here is by having your own car. The drive from CDG airport is about 1 hour without traffic, but it is quite picturesque. They offer free parking onsite and breakfast can be added for 10 Euros, but I would just drive into the small town and eat a bakery there.

    Short Stay

    rating29 Jan 2016

My stay at Le Duc was pretty nice. I stayed for only one night but I found my stay to be fine. Several other friends also stayed with me at the hotel and they had less positive results. I found the hotel staff helpful, the concierge recommended an easier way to get to Versailles. My friends had less positive things to say. I didn’t experience any of the same difficulties they did so I can’t include them in my review. St. Remy les Chevreuse is a nice town, I doubt I’d be back but if I do visit again, I’d consider staying here again.
