    Lovely Weekend

    Another enjoyable stay at the Residhome Monceau. The rooms are reasonably priced and value for money. Staff are friendly and professional. Parking is available in the local shopping car park.The hotel is located in a lovely area, with plenty restaurants within walking distance. There is a lovely local park next to the hotel, and reaching central Paris is easy, either by bus or train.

    The room smelt of cigarette smoke despite being a non smoking hotel. TV didn't work, wardrobe door was hanging off, shower didn't work properly, no iron in room. Wouldn't recommend this place at all...

    I stayed here for 2 nights since it is very close to my office.Groundfloor bathroom: no toiletpaper, hand dryer did not work.The room is OK (just) but cleaning it or making the bed or changing towels is apparently not included.The bathroom and kitchen were quite old and ru- down.Breakfast is very basic (and coffee machine did not work properly first morning).

    The room was not clean, the curtain was black from the dirt, the paint from the doors was exfoliated, the elevators broken (not going until the 7th floor, they stopped at the 6th), the soap, toilet paper and shower gel were nor renewed after first day and when requested the hotel staff indicate us to buy them from supermarket; the room is cleaned only once a week, so nobody enters to take your garbage. The room's walls were not painted from long time...The table from the room had a broken leg.The ham from the breakfast was dark instead of pink and smelled awful; the butter was expired from 2 days; there was only a fresh baguette offered to guests and when finished we had only old/hard bread left.

    We had our room in this place from 30th of March till 2 April, room number 405... there was some liking on the floor like someone wash the floor and left too much water under the laminating flooring, dirty curtains and window frames, but this not a worst things. It was still not too bad, the worst happens on a day when we went to check out: I booked this hotel thru booking.com where I have my account from ages, I payed 230euro on a day when we came. 230euro it was a price for our stay!!!! On day we left to check out guy in the reception asked me to show him my bank card so he have to print some extra receipts for us, I said ok it’s not a problem, we came back to uk, after 2 days my bank statement shows that this hotel charge me extra 75euro!!!!! They just took money of me without any explanation any receipt any email , nothing!!!! I tried to contact them so they told me the manager is not here and I have to email them. So I did sent 10 emails with no reply from them, now I have to contact my bank to block this transaction and try to get my money back. It’s never happened before in my life that someone in a place big like this can’t take your money without my permission it’s just ridiculous! Avoid this place!
