    Saving the environment is good but....

    Beautiful entrance and courtyard. We had a room with a very large rooftop terrace, which was lovely. The room itself was not very spacious, but it felt fine thanks to the large opening to the outdoor area.The hotel has adopted a “no room cleaning by default” policy to “save” the environment. While I understand the intention, it was simply not convenient for a four-night stay. At check-in, I requested cleaning, but we still had to ask at reception, and nothing happened before saying it the second timeIt’s not really the cleaning itself that bothered me, but having to call reception for basics like toilet paper and more coffee at a pricey hotel like this is not ideal. On vacation, I don’t want to spend time dealing with things like that.     A very centrally located boutique hotel that is so charming with friendly staff and great food. My wife and I have stayed at other Hoxton properties before and are adding this one to the top of our Hoxton stays.     Great team, but a very disappointing stay overall

    I stayed at The Hoxton Paris with my sister to celebrate her birthday, and unfortunately the experience was very mixed.To start with the positives — the front of house team were genuinely excellent. Warm, professional, and consistently helpful throughout our stay. They handled a difficult situation with care and did everything within their power to support us, which I really appreciated. The location and atmosphere of the hotel are also lovely.However, our stay was significantly impacted by a serious issue with our room. On our first night, we experienced a clear ant infestation — in the bed, on the desk, in the bathroom, and even on personal belongings. This meant we were unable to properly use basic facilities such as the shower, and it understandably affected our comfort and sense of hygiene.While the team moved us and applied a partial discount, the compensation offered (15%) does not feel proportionate to the severity of the issue — particularly given we paid a premium room rate and spent the night in those conditions. I was also informed the room would be taken out of use afterwards, which raises further questions about why that night was still charged.This is not a reflection on the staff, who were excellent, but rather on the hotel’s policies and procedures in handling something of this nature. For a brand like The Hoxton, I would expect a more robust and fair response.A real shame, as the team and setting are great — but the overall experience fell short due to this issue.     Fabulous hotel in a great spot for exploring the city. Beautifully designed with a vibrant friendly atmosphere. Rooms not your standard business hotel , much, much better in design, a bit quirky, boutique style. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is down a side street that doesn’t look much but it hides a gem of a hotel.
