This charming city hotel is situated in the Montmartre area of Paris and is just 10 m from Pigalle underground station. This quarter of Paris is still a vibrant district for theatre and music, catering for all tastes.     A TOTAL DISASTER

    The first room received wasn't cleaned at all. I had to wait in the heat while the receptionist finishes shouting at his colleague on phone. The second room I received was a downgraded version. I decided not to complain about this because I was too tired and it would have been alright as long as I could rest in the air-conditioned room. However, the ac was not working. The receptionist said that it was broken in all rooms and he could not provide a fan either. He told me to leave the windows open instead. The noise level from outside was too high, with all the drunken people and sirens. I could not rest at all. I can't believe that this hotel actually has stars.

    Great friendly hotel with a great breakfast each day and a central location to get around Paris by the local Metro or easy walking distance to Monmartre area of artists and cafes. Would go back again. It's a hotel full of character.

    Stayed in room 104 toilet door handle fell off hairdryer didn't work although staff replaced it bedside light was hanging off wallNo canopy over bed as shown on website no plug in bath noise from nightclub kept us awake till the early hours had to buy earplugs from the pharmacy across the road only redeeming quality were the staff this place is definitely not 4 stars I've stayed in much better 2 star accommodation AVOID.

    Do not be fooled by the four star rating. They don’t deserve more than two. Let me explain.We had a regular room overlooking the nightclub around the corner. It was decent. The canopy makes the room and that’s it. It is very small. And a series of details were disappointing. Landline to reception not working. Bathtub stopper not working so you cannot keep your tub full. The thermostat not working so you need to beg for a heater to warm up the room. And then came the power outages. Two of them over two days. Not in the neighborhood, just in the hotel. Long hours in the dark. No Wi-Fi. But the worst is that they did not even try to make up for it. Any normal Hotel would have offered some form of compensation simply to say sorry. But no. After all, they are French and royal. Why apologize? If you are looking for a hotel with a theme, red velvet and charm, you will find much better in the neighborhood, just a few blocks away.
