Location

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in an 8-storey building with 2 lifts and 100 non-smoking rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected.     We stayed there for 3-nights which was actually quite good for the price we paid. The room was a little bit small but it was OK for us. The staff there were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back when we are next in Paris

    During my recent trip to Paris, I stayed at VOCO, an IHG Hotel, which had a clean and decent environment in a great location with easy access to the metro and bus system. However, I was extremely disappointed to be turned away from the hotel’s restaurant. Despite it being advertised as an amenity during booking, we were informed upon our return from a day of sightseeing that the restaurant was closed to hotel guests due to a private conference. This restriction affected breakfast and dinner throughout our entire stay.This is an unacceptable business model. Guests pay a premium to enjoy advertised amenities, yet we were denied access without prior notification. A simple solution could have been to allocate a portion of the restaurant or use conference rooms for the event. Instead, we were forced to leave the hotel for every meal. Guests should be forewarned that they may not have access to the amenities that are prominently advertised when making reservations

    My feelings on Voco Montparnasse are mixed. What I consider good was location, staff and brekfast. As I did the check in I saw the breakfast room and I got disappointed but on the following morning I had to change my mind: except for the coffee everything was tasty and there were many healthy options. I do not know why even 4 stars hotels have decided to offer machine made coffee.What disappointed me was the room and even more the bathroom. Room is rather dated, with a fade color decoration.No place to hang our clothes. As it was only one night we did not make problem but It would be awful for a long stay. Not good light even if it has natural light coming from the window. Bathroom has a weird design: the toilet is separated from the shower and the sink. I know this is liked by many people but I find the toilet without a sink not very hygienic. What is worse the place where the toilet is had no ventilation. Towells were thin and with a dubious off-white color. Definetly not my favourire bathroom.Said that, location when arriving or leaving Paris by Montparnasse Gare is unbeatable, perhaps I will try another big hotel in the neighbourhood next time. I was disillusioned by Voco Montparnasse. Though bein an IHG Gold Member I had never tried Voco hotels: I do not know if I will give it a second chance. Cheap it is not.     Perfect base to explore Paris Metro style and ideal location near Montparnasse Station

    I selected the VOCO Montparnasse due to its ideal location near Montparnasse station as I was due to catch a train down to Bordeaux the following day and what a lucky pick that was !I arrived quite tired after an early start and a journey on the Eurostar and a very long working year but as soon as I stepped into this well appointed boutique style hotel, I was immediately greeted by the smile of Kareena and a warm welcome who recognised my IHG member status and there I was swiftly on my way to beautiful junior suite with a cute mini terrace, large bay window, immaculately clean bathroom, working desk with a large smart TV and a supersize king bed.Since Paris traffic jam is legendary, the hotel is located next the Metro station Gaitee that will take anywhere in the town and in my case to Saint Lazare station since I wanted to visited the iconic department stores Le Printemps and Les Galeries Lafayette at Christmas time. Metro tickets can be purchased at the station and off you go visiting the City of Light !A huge Thank You to the lovely Kareena & the Team for making my stay such an enjoyable & comfortable one and VOCO will now be a brand I will be looking for as this stay truly exceeded my expectations.

    Charming French Neighbourhood, but no Slippers in the room

    Nice location, where you get the French neighbourhood feeling.5 minutes’ walk from metro stations to central Paris(+)The bed and pillows were comfortable.Nespresso machine and tea selection in the room.Complimentary water was provided.Full-body mirror in the room.We liked the Antipodes shampoos provided.Breakfast buffet was very good.(-)We found the bathroom in need of refurbishment, and a heated mirror was also a big miss.The biggest disappointment was that there were no slippers in the room.
