    Disappointing

    rating19 Sept 2026

A well located hotel to visit Champagne. Nice room and friendly staff, but the food was frankly underwhelming. We ate in the bistrot as the fine dining menu prices were astronomically expensive, and the food was, at best, pretty average. Wine is expensive. Breakfast was standard French fare and decent enough. Overall very poor value for money and the hotel was certainly not worthy of 5 stars. We would not return - there are better, and better value, hotels in the area for an overnight stay. Hotel Manager, Owner at Briqueterie Champagne, A Beauvallon Hotel, responded to this review Dear Sir, We appreciate the time you have taken to provide us with your opinion of your stay.We are glad that you appreciated the setting of our hotel, your room, and the warm welcome from our team. That said, we are sincerely sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. I would have appreciated the chance to talk it through with you in person, as a direct exchange is often more constructive than one behind a screen. Your remarks about the bistro cuisine and the overall value you found are heard, and we regret that your evening meal left you with a mixed impression.Nonetheless, it pleases us that our location made a convenient base for exploring Champagne and that breakfast offered a pleasant start to your day.It would be a pleasure to welcome you back. Kind regards,Delphin Cornaille, Directeur – Maitre de Maison

    French Country

    rating13 Sept 2026

Briqueterie Champagne was pure French Country. Sitting just outside of Epernay, the inn allows a quiet haven away from the busier city. The inn embraces the region it sits within. The staff was incredibly attentive, with a shout out to Esteban, the concierge, who took care of each detail of our stay. Our room was spacious and well cared for and had been recently redecorated. TIP: ***If you plan on eating lunch or dinner at the hotel make sure you make reservations in advance. These venues book up quickly.I highly recommend the Briqueterie Champagne for an authenticFrench Country experience. Hotel Manager, Owner at Briqueterie Champagne, A Beauvallon Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest, We are grateful to you for taking the time to review your positive experience. We are glad you found our house a quiet haven just outside Épernay, and that its authentic French country spirit resonated with you.Esteban was delighted to read your kind mention, attending to every detail is what he enjoys most.It is great that your room felt spacious and that the recent redecoration added to your comfort.Thank you again; we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.Kind regards,Delphin Cornaille, Directeur – Maitre de Maison

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Champagne

    rating22 Aug 2026

We stayed at La Briqueterie as a family of four on the final night of our journey through France and had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, with lovely grounds that our children really enjoyed exploring. There was actually plenty to keep them occupied, including the pool, table tennis, boules and badminton, which was a pleasant surprise for a hotel that initially feels quite grown-up and geared towards exploring the Champagne region. The hotel sits within lovely grounds and has a heated pool and spa facilities. We had adjoining rooms, which worked well for us as a family. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all slept very well. My only real criticism of the room was the shower, which was quite small and had no door – something I’m personally never a fan of!We ate at the Bistrot in the evening and really enjoyed it. The food was very good, the atmosphere was relaxed and lively, and importantly the children enjoyed the experience just as much as we did.The setting and grounds are lovely, although the hotel is positioned alongside a fairly busy road, which slightly detracts from the otherwise peaceful country-house feel.We decided to leave early the following morning to catch an earlier ferry, so unfortunately didn’t get the chance to try breakfast.Overall, a beautiful and very comfortable hotel and somewhere we would happily return to. In fact, I think we’d particularly like to come back without the children for a longer weekend, properly explore Épernay and the Champagne houses, and experience the hotel’s gastronomic restaurant, Alcôve. A very enjoyable stay and a great base for exploring Champagne. Hotel Manager, Owner at Briqueterie Champagne, A Beauvallon Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We're glad your family enjoyed the pool, leisure spaces, and connecting rooms. Sorry some aspects fell short; we’d have welcomed a chance to discuss them directly. It’s great you appreciated the beds, Bistrot, and setting, and we look forward to welcoming you back to try Alcôve.We do hope that we will be able to welcome you back on a future occasion. Nice enough but needs updating

    rating30 Jun 2026

We stayed a night here . We were warmly welcomed with a glass of champagne and some delicious madeleines in our room! The room was very small and the bathroom even more . There is no space to put any toiletry bag or other !The room is quite dark and decor a bit dull .But there is a decent safe and good tea and coffee making facilities and it was overlooking the garden so quiet. The decor in the bar area is lovely but the rest of the hotel is dated especially the restaurant area with dirty carpets and cheep furniture The indoor pool was decent but again showing signs of wear . I had a lovely massage in the spa which was nice .Food in the evening in the restaurant was good but nothing special but good value Breakfast was good with decent breads and pastries A bit disappointing for a Relais et chateaux as would not say it is a five star But the staff were lovely. The hotel just needs some refinement Hotel Manager, Owner at Briqueterie Champagne, A Beauvallon Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest, We are grateful to you for taking the time to review your experience.Thank you for enjoying our warm welcome, tea and coffee facilities, garden view, and spa massage. We appreciate your feedback on the room size and decor and are exploring improvements while preserving our historic charm. We're glad our attentive team and vineyard location stood out during your stay.We look forward to welcoming you back on a future occasion. Best regards,Delphin Cornaille, Directeur – Maitre de Maison

    Good location for touring Champagne

    rating05 Jun 2026

This hotel is in a great location for visiting the great Champagne houses of Epernay. The grounds are magnificent, and have sweet gardens and a good small walking trail. Staff was very helpful and the concierge was tremendous. We ate at the restaurant twice and it was good. There are other places in the area, though, that we discovered that were preferable. Our rooms, in the basement next to the pool, were clean but tiny. My room had a very smelly bathroom, which I’m guessing was a result of the room location. Overall it was a good stay, if a bit overpriced. Hotel Manager, Owner at Briqueterie Champagne, A Beauvallon Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest, Many thanks for having taken the time to review your stay.We are delighted to hear you appreciated our dedicated team and the serene gardens during your stay. It’s wonderful to know our concierge’s recommendations enhanced your exploration of the Champagne region. That said, we sincerely regret that certain aspects of your accommodation fell short of your expectations. Our basement-level rooms are designed for convenience near the spa and pool, and we will review ventilation to ensure comfort. We also take note of your feedback regarding value and continually strive to balance quality with fair pricing.Nonetheless, we’re thrilled our location served as a perfect base for your visits to Épernay’s renowned houses. Your kind words about the restaurant are also much appreciated. We hope to welcome you back. Best wishes,Delphin Cornaille, Directeur – Maitre de Maison
