  Appalling basement room - AVOID!

  BEWARE! We had booked a double room for 2 nights and when we arrived we were given a room in the basement (level -1). As soon as we got out of the lift we could smell the damp and feel the cold. The room was a disgrace! Damp patches low down on all the walls, paint peeling off the walls, cobwebs and dirt in the corners, terrible smell of damp, flimsy furniture, noise from the street right above the basement window. Probably the worst hotel room we’ve ever been offered. There was no way we were going to stay and as all other rooms were booked we had to find alternative accommodation outside the city. The poor receptionist was mortified but there was nothing she could do. Rooms on other floors may be okay but make sure you insist on not having a basement room!!!

  The hotel was very clean and the staff very nice and friendly.We were pleasantly surprised to find a car park right in front of the hotel which was free over the night 7pm to 9 am ,that was a very big concern for us prior to get there .Breakfast was very good and tasty 😋.Would visit again.

  Summer camp shack service for a three star price

  Saddest, ugliest and most tired hotel I have ever been in (and I travel 20+ times a year). Bathroom in room 19 was dirty (traces of feces in the toilet!!!), rusty and unclean (mobility aids) and with traces of mold (shower and windowsill). The flooring has come undone in the room, the furniture was less than minimal and damaged. Front desk service was minimal but courteous, the only bright-ish point in what was otherwise a robbery for almost EUR150/night.

  Great hotel with great bed,pillows,hot shower!Absolutely wonderful staff that were both friendly and helpful.Enjoyed the rapport with the lady on day shift so much she gave us a complimentary bottle of wine.A little out of the tourist precinct ..10-15 min enjoyable walk but well seviced by trams at Republique stop.Would highly recommend.Oh..great price also.
