?? DANGEROUS SAFETY HAZARD - Family Trapped 45 Mins - Management Refused to Help

Avoid the Zenitude Toulouse Métropole if you travel with children. Immediately upon check-in, my family (including 2 adults and 3 minors, ages 14, 11, and 2.5) was trapped inside their malfunctioning elevator on the ground floor.The lift immediately became a hot oven. My young children were dripping in sweat, panicking, and crying. The hotel completely failed to respond to the internal yellow emergency button, and nobody answered the front desk phone line for a prolonged period. Out of desperation for my family's safety, I had to call the French Emergency Services (112) from inside the elevator to coordinate our rescue.When the technician finally let us out after 45 minutes, the staff showed zero human decency—they did not even offer a glass of water to my distressed children. The Front Desk Manager explicitly refused to issue a technical incident report, claimed the failure was "beyond their control," and insultingly offered a free breakfast as compensation.Upon checkout, they refused an immediate refund and told me to wait a week for a manager reply. This property operates with hazardous facilities, non-existent customer care, and a complete disregard for guest safety laws (obligation de sécurité de résultat under French Civil Code). It is entirely unsafe for families. Do not stay here.

Firstly, the hotel is completely unsanitary. From dusty pipes, dirty toilet paper, skid marks in the toilet bowl…. Not forgetting the bed bugs that have left my partner and I covered in irritable bite marks. Our bathroom had mouldy tiles and made me feel even more dirty by showering in it! The rooms are also very small, and the bed is very uncomfortable. I know it is meant to be budget friendly, but you’d get more comfort from sleeping in a prison cell. The pool was also freezing and dirty. There were two nice things about this hotel…1. The staff - the reception staff were lovely and welcoming, and of course, it’s not their fault that the rooms are filthy. 2. Checking out. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was ok. WiFi good, air con good. Didn’t get a chance to use pool as weather wasn’t the best. Reception staff were friendly. DO NOT order the food in jars, we arrived on Sunday late afternoon and Toulouse was basically closed. The jars were a last resort, woke up at midnight and spent the next two hours vomiting the jar food back up ?? Breakfast was ok, limited choice and a strange women who insisted on doing the coffee machine for us which wasn’t necessary. Location could’ve been better, cab ride to anywhere worth going. Chilli in a jar…

We got a cab from the airport for €40… first mistake! Get an Uber, only €15.Receptionist was quick & friendly, our room was on the 2nd floor. It was like a modern day youth hostel, but we found our room. It was big, with separate lounge & kitchen area. The TV is all in French but that’s fine. Sofa could double as a bed. Kitchen area tiny, but got what you need. Bring teabags!The bathroom, although very tired looking, was quite big, again, fine for what you need. It was clean enough but when you moved things, not so much. The AC was excellent, perfect for Two menopausal women. Everything in Toulouse is closed on Sundays, so we got some food through reception. oMg… was vile. Imagine a jar, yes, a big glass jar, with chilli, pasta & sauce etc… you microwave it in your room. Disgusting, please never order. There is an Aldi about 10 seconds away for all your needs!Overall, the place was ok. It’s about €12 into the main town, not sure on public transport. Pool area was clean & spacious but weather wasn’t on our side.
