    Not a 3 star hotel

    rating28 Sept 2024

Albeit being old, the hotel was clean and towels were changed daily, but the room facilities left a lot to be desired (lightbulbs flickering or not turning on, aircon not functioning properly, shower head was loose and would not stay in its place, a tile behind the toilet was removed and water was leaking on the bathroom floor)... The breakfast was also very poor (find a bakery and you'll get a better serving for half the price). Additionally, the restaurant next door made the room smell terrible and the soundproofing was also poor. This made the room noisy at night due to the bars and restaurants in the vicinity. However, what was most appalling was the attitude and rudeness of one receptionist. We had a late flight and so we checked out early, left our bags at reception and spent the day in the city. When we went back to the hotel in the evening to charge our phones and book an airport taxi, the receptionist acted like we were loitering although we had told her that we would soon be getting a taxi. Despite being out of her way and eyesight and not even interacting with her, she behaved as though we were inconveniencing her by being there. She came up to us to ask us what time we had checked out, following which she looked at her watch and tutted. She turned down our request to use a bathroom as apparently the only bathrooms are in the rooms, so you lose that privilege once you've checked out. We've visited numerous hotels of different ratings in various countries and we've never encountered no bathroom in the common area. When we asked if we can use the hotel restaurant's bathroom, she discouraged us from doing so. Ironically her nametag showed that she spoke English, yet she only exercised this skill when she deemed fit, mainly to be unwelcoming. The rest of the staff at the reception desk were lovely although some could not speak much English, making it difficult to check in and settle the bill.

Second and not the last visit

    rating15 May 2023

This is the second time we've been here. We've been very satisfied by our stays. The hotel is quite simple, but it's clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The receptionist when I arrived on Friday was extremely helpful. She looked after my luggage, charged my phone and spoke to my son on the phone giving directions from the airport to the hotel via public transport. Also the hotel is extremely conveniently located in the centre of town surrounded by restaurants and cafes and close to the metro and bus lines, including the line going direct to the rugby stadium. We will definitely come back here again.

Good location for shopping & meals

    rating14 Jul 2018

Good central location a short distance from Place du Capitole and Place Wilson for meals. Station a short walk / or one stop on the metro. Reception staffed x 24hr with polite staff. Mattress on Bed was a “memory foam” type and was very comfortable. Bedroom could have done with a more thorough dust; bathroom was clean. WiFi was a little temperamental- seemed to struggle to remember that I had registered. Did not have to re register but had to log on again which was a little frustrating.

You get what you pay for

    rating08 Jul 2018

Booked this hotel for one night on a stop over in Toulouse as a group of six. Had three twin rooms, two rooms had no functioning A/C, one had no plug in the bath (rooms all had baths not showers), there is no fridge in the room and no safety box. However it is a very good central location, rooms are reasonably sized and you are only paying £57 a night for a room in July in central Toulouse so your not really going to expect much more. We didn’t try the breakfast as it was 10 Euro per person while you can get a fantastic petit dejuner in the nearby Capitole for under 7 Euro. So I would not book this hotel for a longer stay unless you are really on a tight budget but it is fine and perfectly located if you on a tight time scale visit to Toulouse.
