  The hotel is perfectly positioned. The market, just outside, is fantastic. We had a freindly greeting and were always well looked after. The room is a little small but fine. The 'courtyard view' is a stretch as it looks over the scruffy side alley. personally I would remove this from the description as it builds up your expectations.. overall we thought it was good for the two nights we stayed.   If the room we were in is anything to go by, this hotel looks nothing like its carefully designed photographs. A basic hotel, albeit in a very good central location. Our room apparently had a courtyard view but please see attached. The courtyard view is a wall ! Not sure if this is a regular occurrence but there was a lot of noise outside all through the night. There are better options for same or cheaper prices nearby.

  The hotel is in the perfect location, right in the center of the city. The rooms are clean and the staff is very attentive. The shops and restaurants are close to the hotel and also the tourist attractions. I would recommend the hotel with any doubt.   Good welcome and excellent night porter, good location in town and very practical with parking really close and advantageous for the price of parking.The room with 1 socket and a 3 plug extension placed in the bin in front.The shower has no curtain and long hair in the shower drain before I even showered. Then no edge to the shower tray which was more than small.So for my 1m93 boyfriend the shower quickly ended in disaster because there was water all over the floor.Clearly I’m angry about the shower but knowing that I asked for a bath….Otherwise pretty good for the price Hôtel De France, Propriétaire at Hotel De France, responded to this review Chère cliente, cher client,Nous sommes ravis que notre accueil et l'emplacement de notre établissement vous aient donné pleinement satisfaction. Quant au receveur de douche sans paroi, effectivement, il nous en reste quelques-uns à placer car nous venons de finaliser la rénovation de toutes nos salles de bain. Cependant, seules les chambres single sont concernées. Je suis donc étonnée de votre retour puisque vous étiez 2 personnes.   Horrible stay, the state of the rooms are unacceptable.

  The strangest hotels I have ever been to. And although the receptionists were nice, it does not make up for the quality of the overall room. The rooms are incredibly small and the beds are so hard that you could just as well have slept on the floor. The curtains were to small to cover up the windows and the rooms are badly isolated for sound so I could here my neighbours easily. For a 180 euros a night I expect to be able to sleep comfortably, but I did not get any sleep because of the overall dysfunctional rooms. I changed rooms the last night, which had a better bed but, also in this room there were so many things that did not work. You could not close the bathroom door and the toilet was so small that it I had to open the door to make room for mye legs, it is literally impossible to do your buisiness there with a closed door, that is insane! Je vais avant toute chose rétablir la vérité au sujet du prix que vous avez soi-disant payé. Nous n'avons aucune chambre à 180€ la nuitée dans notre établissement. Et je vais être encore plus précise. Vous avez réservé en ligne la plus petite catégorie de chambre single, que vous avez réglé 62€ la nuit!! Vous plaignant de la taille du lit (alors qu'elle est clairement mentionnée dans le descriptif), nous avons cherché à vous satisfaire en vous proposant de vous déloger, alors que nous étions complet. Nous vous avons expliqué que cette chambre proposée avait un grand lit, literie toute neuve de surcroît, mais qu'elle avait quelques inconvénients qui ne nous semblait pas être un frein pour que vous passiez une nuit confortable. Vous l'avez d'ailleurs visité avant de vous y installer. Ma collègue vous a demandé le lendemain matin si vous aviez apprécié votre nuit et bien dormi. Question à laquelle vous avez répondu oui, et avec le sourire.Si notre établissement est "inacceptable", votre comportement l'est encore plus...Je vous invite à revoir votre jugement et à faire preuve de bonne foi
