  Not a 5 star hotel as they claim

  First off they had an issue with my payment. I showed them the receipt but they needed to hear it fromRoxjet travel. Issues were due to thei hotel’s system. Then the internet did not work with my VPN so I was not able to login in to my computer for work emails. I went to go use the spa, there was no one in attendance. I went to the front desk twice for assistance so someone can show me were to go. The steam room did not work as good. It still felt cold in there. This felt like a 4 star hotel. Not worth it. Not sure why they consider themselves a 5 star. More like 4 star service.   A very bad - and expensive booking experience and a disappointing room.

  A very bad - and expensive booking experience and a disappointing room: We booked a hotelroom from the hotels webpage and when we received the booking confirmation, the price was suddenly raised 50% - a lot more, than we had agreed to pay, and a lot more than the prices announced on the homepage. When we asked at the reception, the explanation was: “you have booked the room from our old webpage - and there is nothing we can do about that”. The “double priced room” was an attic room with a double bed, a bathtub and a zink in the same room and a toilet in a closet. If you wanted to “enjoy the beautiful view of the city from the luxury room”, you would need to stand on a chair.The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is, that the food in the Brasserie was fine - apart from this, I can absolutely not recommend this hotel.   Rooms need upgrading

  I really feel that calling this a 5 star hotel is misleading. We stayed in a junior suite and the carpets in the room smelt and looked quite dirty. It was the same issue in the stairs going up to the room in the annex, the walls had scuffs and signs of damage. The bathroom was fine (I didn’t look too closely at the black marks in the corner) but the bed was quite uncomfortable. Overall this was not a pleasant experience. The staff is nice and that is the only reason why I am giving it 3 stars.

  Extremely Disappointing Stay – Felt Like a 3-Star HotelThis hotel markets itself as five-star, but the experience was far from it.The room was dirty, the carpet stained, and there were flies inside — I killed three. When I reported it, the manager arrived with bug spray and offered to use it while I was still in the room. I refused. That response alone was concerning and unprofessional.The front desk rarely answered calls, and I had to go down multiple times just to get basic assistance. When I finally spoke to someone, I was told, “We’re just busy.”Room and bar service were also disappointing. The menu was extremely limited, and I couldn’t find anything suitable to eat.While the staff were polite, they were clearly untrained and unprepared to manage a five-star property. The overall lack of professionalism and service made this feel more like a three-star hotel — certainly not worth the price. Also, please note that our brasserie is open continuously from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and we also have a gastronomic restaurant open from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. Finally, we are sorry that you could not have directly access to the receptionist as requested.   We loved this beautiful hotel. The staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The valet parking was easy. Great easy walk into the centre and all the beautiful restaurants. The breakfast was great. The courtyard was a perfect place for a drink and also dinner.
