Basic, shabby and middle of nowhere

    rating09 Jul 2016

We booked two of the rooms - which I would describe as a cross between Crossroads and Bates Motel. There was broken glass outside the main entrance that no one swept away during our stay. The rooms and bedding were clean - although ours smelt damp and unaired (despite us opening the windows). We didn't use the kitchen area or crockery. The dishes and cutlery were grimy. The toilet and bathroom are very small and shabby. The covers on the "sofa beds" were stained and both were broken. No where to sit outside - not that you would want to anyway! You needed a car to get around and there wasn't much locally anyway. The rooms felt very claustrophobic and given the choice would have driven away on seeing the place and the groups of men hanging around outside their rooms.

Near the airport and with a kitchen. But, be sure to bring your own cleaning supplies

    rating09 Nov 2014

We stayed in this hotel for one night due to its proximity to the airport as we had an early morning flight. We arrived after reception was closed, but they had sent us the code to access the car park and our room number so it was just a matter of finding our room once we arrived. The rooms are spread out over a large area so it took a few minutes in the dark to find ours and we were able to park close enough to the room so that it was only a short walk.We found the room to be very clean. There is a table, two chairs, a couch and upstairs the bed. What we were surprised by was that the washing supplies for the kitchen were not provided as we are used to in New Zealand. We had expected to find a little washing liquid, a sponge and maybe a drying towel and these could be purchased from reception if we had arrived when they were open. Instead we found instructions in the welcome packet explaining that it was forbidden to use the bath towels in the kitchen for the dishes. I would have much rather have just had the extra euro or two added to the bill and have found what we needed to use the kitchen.Overall, a good option near the airport if you have a car and are keen to have a kitchen so you can self cater. Just remember to pick up cleaning supplies so you can wash your dishes.

    Good value Motel

    rating24 Jul 2014

Firstly this is not a hotel but a motel with individual small apartments with parking outside your door. Although not that far from the airport (15 minutes drive), a car is essential as there is nothing within walking distance. The reception area is not manned 24 hours but does provide a basic breakfast of croissants, bread ( I think long life bread heated up in oven) and a small selection of cereals for which the milk is left in an un-chilled carton so can be a little warm if you are a late riser. There is also a selection of Yoghurts. The apartment is on two levels with the bed on a small landing up a flight of stairs. On the ground level you have two small tables a settee, a small kitchen area ie two hobs, microwave and fridge, with a small selection of kitchen equipment. The bathroom is small but does have an effective over bath shower. The separate toilet is in very small " cubboard" and could be a problem to get in if you are very large! There is also effective air conditioning and wifi in the room. Additional equipment e.g. Hair dryer has to be borrowed from the reception and there is no in room telephone. There is a TV which english channels are BBC 1 and 2 as well as ITV. The apartment could have done with a few small lamps e.g. by bedside. The apartment was very clean. A short drive away to Merville village centre you can find a good Boulanger and supermarket and there is a some reasonable restaurants in Grenade 5-10 minutes drive. Worth noting Grenade has a very good Saturday morning market.

    Great value, very nice

    rating21 May 2014

I travelled there with my husband and we were expecting some kind of low profile sort of motel, instead we found a cozy apartment sort of thing, with parking right in front of our door, and downstairs a nice kitchen and dining room area while the bedroom was upstairs. Clean, comfortable, and Caroline the receptionist was very helpful.

    Really a motel

    rating08 Jul 2012

I stayed here because every hotel in Toulouse was fully booked. I had a car, so it was ok. Don't even think about staying here if you don't have a car. A new Internet authentication system was installed during my stay which made the Internet unreliable.
