    Our last hotel on a short cycling break. Up a hill which is hard on the legs on the last day! Slightly tired decor but helpful staff and the rooms are fine. A good breakfast in quite a small breakfast room.

    A lovely four nights stay in Amboise

    We stayed at this hotel for four nights in October last year as part of our road trip to the Loire Valley. The property from the outside resembles a small château discreetly tucked away from one of the main roads leading to Amboise. The rooms were very quiet, and we had a wonderful nights sleep every night.The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, and communication was easy despite our limited French. In the evening we went for a walk into the centre of Amboise which was around a 25 minute walk where there were plenty of places to eat and drink if you wanted to go exploring into the town instead.As we were travelling in a classic car, we also greatly appreciated the secure off-road parking provided in the inner courtyard, and the large car park behind the hotel which offered both convenience and peace of mind.

    A nice enough place, but after reserving a 'Privilege' room at extra cost, I was very disappointed in the room itself which was small, and other than having a King size bed had nothing else to commend it. There was no USB power outlet, the Coffee machine was only stocked for one cup each, and all in all I was expecting more from using a 'Best Western'.

    We stayed four nights here on our recent trip. It was perfect for us. The location is in a great location for getting on the road to nearby destinations in the Loire Valley (Chenonceau, Cheverny, Blois) , and the hotel offers on site parking. The breakfast buffet is great, the staff courteous, our bed was comfy, our room sparkling clean. There is a lift, and English is spoken by all the staff. The hotel is very reasonably priced compared to others in Amboise. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood approximately 25 minutes downhill walk from the city center/restaurants/ historic sights (uphill on the return.) This makes for a restful and quiet night's sleep. We left our car at the hotel and enjoyed the walk- those with mobility issues would probably need to drive and find parking.

    Good location if you visit the Loire Valley. However, rooms are small and old fashioned with very little charm. For a one night stay it is good enough. I wouldn't stay longer. If you upgrade to a superior room you get a kettle and a mini fridge (with a small water bottle). The building is ok but the interior is dated.
