Tours is our usual stop over when travelling on wards to Portugal. This year we decided to give stay at a different hotel. We opted for this hotel as it looked clean and tidy and was en route for the next morning. We had booked two double rooms for our party of three. Check in was very quiet and serious. No friendly greeting. Our rooms were located upstairs, staircase on the outside of the building and top floor. There is plenty of parking which is secured overnight. The rooms had electric blinds which was great but they were dark and we were there in the middle of summer. The beds were clean and very comfortable, the bathroom was a good size. Shower worked well. Soap, shower gel, toilet paper all provided along with towels. There also was a kettle, two mugs and coffee & tea provided. Plenty of plug sockets in the room. The main door to each room had to be slammed , not ideal but hotel was quiet when we were there. Breakfast the next day was fine. Very very quiet, no one spoke, not even other guests to each other at other tables. Good selection though of the usual croissants, jams, bread , yoghurts etcLocation is good, good for the motorway, shopping centre nearby with Burger King, Leons, etc so you can grab something to eat but best for an overnight stop only. We did feel rested, our rooms and beds were fine . Will we be back? Probably not but the rooms were good value. Comfortable hotel with helpful staff

We stayed overnight on a trip through France. We had to change our booking and Bastien on reception was extremely helpful getting it sorted out. He is a real asset to the Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the Hotel is in walking distance to restaurants and shops. There is also a secure car park. We had a good nights sleep and we will certainly stay again. Excellent and convenient location. We stopped on our way to the Dordogne area and also on our way home. Will definitely be returning. We had a delicious evening barbecue on our return with extensive starters and desserts. Waiting staff also very helpful. Very flexible menu. Excellent value for money. I love Campanile hotels - friendly, efficient, no fuss, provides all you need for an en-route stop over - tho the hotel at Poiters Sud is a bit tired in its decor and could do with an upgrade. And the coffee machine wouldn't make coffee for breakfast, and the guy on duty didn't know how to fix it, which was a bit disappointing. But there is a whole field at the back to walk the dog. Great stop over!

This is a lovely little Campanile outside of Tours. Arrived late afternoon at the end of July and in the middle of COVID. Hotel was very clean and staff were lovely. Food was amazing considering the buffet has been stopped for now. It was a set menu with the best blue cheese burger I’ve ever had. Room was modern and very clean. Don’t forget that the code for the gate is on the back of your key card! We didn’t realise this and had to phone the emergency number at 4am to get it. Audrey, who answered the phone was lovely about it considering I had woken her up. Like I said, the staff make it as they are so nice and friendly. Highly recommend for a stop over when travelling through France.
