    Arrived late and was kindly upgraded by Naomi on reception, which was such a lovely surprise. The room is absolutely gorgeous, the bed is incredibly comfy (slept like a baby), and the whole place feels really relaxing.     Location is away from downtown - but only a 10 minute walk to the tram. Grounds are well-kept and lovely. Front desk was accommodating with my early and unexpected arrival. Room was newly painted and not aired out. A little of a challenge to breathe. Left the windows open as much as possible. Guests all around me were smoking (it's supposed to be a non-smoking facility, I thought). Leaving the windows open was difficult due to the heavy smokers. Housekeeping was minimal. Requested a face towel - took 2 days of my 3 day stay - finally was given a bath mat. Not quite what I was hoping for. Housekeeping took a very expensive bottle of wine I had set aside carefully and placed it on the heating element of the coffee cabinet - bottle was hot when I returned to the room. Took photo. Wine was ruined. Bed was placed on broken frame so it made a loud noise whenever I turned over in bed. Had a very expensive dinner 100e in the restaurant - minimal options since it was a Sunday and the next day was a major holiday. poorly done Easter special - veal - big disappointment in presentation and food quality. Despite the high floor location of the room with a lovely view, these other issues made for a less than ideal stay.     Lovely Stay in the Chateau Belmont in Tours France near in Loire Valley

    Chateau Belmont is a lovely hotel surrounded by much greenery. It has a nice indoor heated pool, small gym, but large rooms and EXCELLENT for handicapped customers like myself. The location is perfect right near the city of Tours, but you need a car or uber to get to the resort. The attitude of the employees is excellent, very attentive and especially helpful was Naomi at the front desk, Super employee! The handicapped room was spacious with a good shower, close to the elevator. She reserved special parking for me as well. My only dissapointment was the room service , which was not up to par, took too long and the salad was not good. But the breakfasts were excellent, lots of variety, hot and cold, everything. PrIce is a bit high, but visited during Easter week. We stayed in the modern part, basement floor, not in the chateau, so sadly, no view from there. Very clean, provided robes and good towels, slippers, mircowave , and small frig in Junior Suite. Two very large TVs as well. Bravo to all those who made my stay wonderful!!!     We were lucky enough to have a two-bedroom suite which was delightful. My adult daughter and I were traveling together and as much as we love one another, it was great to have some space to ourselves. The food at Chateau Belmont was beyond our expectations - delicious, and beautifully plated.     Felt special at this delightful Chateau it’s special!

    My past experience of staying at Chateau’s in the Loire’s has been mixed…. Always welcoming and generally excellent food but tired rooms full of too much furniture and bathrooms badly in need of a refurb. The Belmont cuts it! Our rooms in the castle had been well modernised with large bathrooms. The staff were exceptional..charming friendly and understood hospitality. We enjoyed a very good supper. . I enjoyed an hour in the spa.
