Location

Located at the heart of Tours, this hotel is only a stone's throw from a selection of popular restaurants and diverse shopping opportunities. Just in front of the hotel entrance, there is a bus stop which goes to the old town, lying around 950 m from the hotel. In addition, the train station of Tours lies 650 m away and the Tours - Val de Loire Airport is 7 km from the hotel.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 50 non-smoking rooms and a suite located in two 4-storey buildings with lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     No frills hotel, but still looks after the guests

    We stayed here as a family of four, with two teenagers, for four nights, across two twin rooms. The hotel staff looked after us well and were very responsive. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were a good size, hotel was mostly clean, and there was no noise at night. The breakfast was pretty good with cereal, some fresh fruit, frozen yoghurt (big hit with teenagers), breads, pastries and a limited cooked/fried selection (this did not look great, we did not try it). There are some shops and restaurants within a 5-10 minutes walk and it was only a 10-15 minutes walk to the main historic centre parts of Tours (cathedral, main squares etc). However it is definitely not a fancy hotel, the decor isn't great, the carpets are very worn, the hotel exterior is very plain, and the street outside the hotel can feel a bit creepy after dark. The car park is over two levels, underneath the hotel reception, it is pretty tight to get your car securely in to a marked parking bay, this cost an extra 11 euros per night. The price reflects some of these aspects of the hotel, it is important not to expect too much.

    Stayed two nights. Well located within walking distance of the major sites and several restaurants and shops. Reasonably quiet. Only one small elevator, which is also used by the staff. Small room, however clean and well appointed. Amenities included an electric kettle. Comfortable bed and pillows. Well lit desk area. Conveniently located power outlets (also near the bed). A/C worked well.Bathroom with bathtub (no standalone shower) and one of those half-doors which keep you cold while showering and get the floor wet. Wifi worked well.Average breakfast buffet.

    Very well situated Hotel. Breakfast is good except for the hot food. The one negative is the parking on site, which is extremely difficult to manoeuvre in and out of. The bedroom was a good size and well equipped. It would be good to have some milk for the tea.

    Great hotel near to the centre of Tours

    We stayed here a few days ago. Mohammed, at check-in, was really informative and helpful. His recommendations of local restaurants were spot on! We had the breakfast each day; not much hot food but a good selection of fruit, pastries, cereals yoghurts etc. which set us up for the day. Our room was lovely, we really appreciated the kettle! And a special mention for our chambermaid, Celine, who couldn't have been more helpful. Some of the best service we've ever had in a hotel.The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars is agreement with the comments that other people have made about the parking. It's very tight! We drive a Volvo XC60, and we managed to manoeuvre in and out, with one of us driving and the other watching. But there were always plenty of parking spaces.

    Very good location being a 15 minute walk into the historic centre of Tours.Underground Parking (10€) was very useful but be careful trying to get a jeep in.Good BreakfastReception staff friendly and spoke good EnglishRealistic price for December.Some parts of the hotel cold do with a refurb or tidy up but i would go back for the location and parking.
