    Also a Kyriad, But So Different, and Not in a Good Way...

    How can Kyriads be so different in everything? After my pleasant experience at The Originals City, Hotel Rouen Sud Oissel, I was really looking forward to this one, especially since I had five nights booked here.At least, the reception was open 24/7 and there was a lift, but other than that nearly everything was going to be a disappointment here.No refrigerator and no air conditioner in the room, so even though there was no heat wave just yet, it was +28,4C in the room.At least, there was an electric kettle.But the biggest problem was mostly slow to non-existent internet connection. Even at 1 a.m. on the night Sunday into Monday, it was impossible to get online.In addition, it appeared that only one device could be connected to the Internet at a given time.Having something printed cost, I believe, 30 cents per page.

    In need of a makeover

    Ok for a quick stopover, but in need of a revamp. Rooms are clean, but dated. No air con so very hot. Only a small fan to try to keep cool. Breakfast was ok, but at 8.30am had run out of milk for cereal which was never replaced, coffee machine also out of milk and took an age to replenish pancakes and pastries. Pool was nice for a quick dip for the kids, but got bitten to death by mosquitoes. Not in the nicest area with half built building next door and we’ll hidden entrance.

    What a shame, well located and in desperate need of renovation and new staff

    The hotel is well located and has an outdoor pool. The tram into town is a 2 minute walk. The hotel has parking. Now for the issues- not all rooms are air con., the bathroom floods out to the carpet, the hotel just looks like it has seen better days. The front desk staff the first day was helpful. When we complained about the no air con they acted like well didnt you know that only a few rooms have it. How does a hotel only have a few rooms with air con? The breakfast was good, but the staff could not wait to get you out of there as quickly as possible and dont even think about sneaking an extra coffee once the breakfast time is up.     A dormitory for the price of 2 bedrooms ! Not even clean...

    For 4 persons, we were given one room for 2 plus 2 extra beds. Looked like a dormitory. Absolutely not what was shown on the website. Moreover for the price of 2 bedrooms for 2.Cupboards could not be open because of the added beds, carpet was dirty and stinky, bathtube had rust holes, toilets were dirty and cracked. Furniture was old and very damaged.During heat wave, for 4 people in a small room, we were only given a little fan, which was insufficient to cool the room. Reception staff was unpleasant and not listening to the customer. Comme ma collègue vous l'a expliqué par téléphone, certaines de nos chambres familiales sont climatisées, d'autres non. Avant que vous réserviez, ma collègue vous avait également précisé que nous n'avions plus de chambres familiales climatisées de disponibles.Par ailleurs, nous sommes surpris de votre point de vue sur notre équipe de réception puisque cette dernière a obtenue au cours de ces derniers mois d'excellents commentaires.Enfin, sachez que notre piscine est entretenue au quotidien, mais nous ne pouvons pas prévoir les incivilités de certaines personnes salissant nos infrastructures.Sachez que pour toute réclamation notre équipe reste à votre écoute.Bien cordialement,L'équipe du Kyriad Joué-lès-Tours

    Not the newest of hotels but made up by a warm welcome and excellent hospitality. Close to town tram route and access to this lovely city of ?Tours. This hotel occasionally hosts tour coaches which can make breakfast busy.
