  Close to the train station & food options, lacking in cleanliness

  It’s with sadness I finally have to post some of “those” pictures - the ones where you wonder “how picky are they?” “Who can spot that in the corner of the room?”…..well I apparently can - I now will never not see/look in the areas of concern…..So let’s start with the good:Super close to the train station - so quick in fact we took our bags to the hotel for storage and were back 12 min later to catch a train to our first chateau!Staff is very friendly and accommodating with my high school level francaisLobby is cleanLaundry room handy on main floor Rooms are spacious & contain fridge, dishwasher, kitchen utensils Now the rest……Towels - 2 people, 2 towels……oh and a bath mat. (Side note: 2 females, long hair, 1 is a teen…..there are more moldy towels on this kids floor at home than in this entire hotel)The room was tidy but the bathroom not especially clean (see bathroom fan pic for illustration)We went to use utensils and during my prelim inspection (I ALWAYS wash everything prior to using) we found the dishes had actually been used and put back in the cupboard. I’ll save you details but the spoon pic is an example (won’t even share the plates….) needless to say everything went in the dishwasher and will not be used by us……We had requested non-feather bedding/pillows due to allergies and as per the email I received (via booking.com) they would try to accommodate our request…..well that may be an auto message as it turns out they don’t have anything other than feather. Not a deal killer but FYI if anyone is traveling with someone who has severe allergies…..And finally - they have bag storage! It’s an open room that you freely access without supervision or security……..come and go as you wish…..everyone will have different comfort levels with that…..FYI’sIt’s an apart hotel so think a bit AirBnB - you take out your own garbage Reception is closed assigned hours in the afternoon, not a problem for us but a consideration when on a fixed schedule Overall: good location but wouldn’t stay again

  Disappointing – Could have been so much better!

  Spacious apartment - very reasonably priced. Bedroom/bathroom/separate living room & a generous kitchen- with full size appliances (for once!) + balcony. Clean & well kept, although the décor could have done with a refresh - but excellent value for money. Hotel also includes a neat swimming pool, full fitness gym + separate laundry + breakfast room downstairs. Not the best part of town but by no means the worst either. Literally 2 steps from the station, 4 from the Palais des Congres & 5 from the Centre of Tours & with a U Express supermarket literally next door & a good boulangerie 200 yards up the road- what’s not to like ….?… Well the staff - strangely enough. We were there for 6 days but constant shift changes produced the same unsmiling, surly, defensive & slightly aggressive attitude. As if they were all used to working in a prison camp or a probation hostel - in stark contrast to the normal Tourangeau welcome, evidenced next door in the U Express - where they’re probably paid ½ as much and work twice as hard but who were politeness personified. Also there was no air conditioning in the room-so even @ 25°c outside and with the windows left open all day; it was still uncomfortable @ night. God knows what it’s like in July & August, with temps in the high 30’s. Unfortunately, unless they change the staff, I won’t be returning - There are other Apartment Hotels in Tours!

  They stole my deposit money.

  This hotel is a fraud. When I checked in guy at the reception asked for a hefty deposit. I was doubtful but he assured me that hotel would reimburse me fully. I insisted upon cash but they ONLY take deposit through credit card.There's still no money.1. Aside from that, this place is not worth it. Plenty of other decent options in Tours. And the staff here most of the time is rude, absent or non-responsive (check out other reviews).2. Also they lie that upon booking you're sent a special code so you can access hotel lobby (this memo is written on the front doors for all the guests to see). They don't.3. I tried calling them at their emergency phone number - that number was unavailable and there was no Whatsapp/Telegram attached to it. So if you have a serious problem outside of reception working hours, you're screwed because there's literally no way one can contact them.Also they don't respond to your messages through Booking.com or email. I'm being completely ignored.

  Good for 1 night but deposit not returned.

  The accommodation was good for 1 night. Check in times 5pm and out by 10.00 a.m not very convenient. Easy walk into town and convenient supermarket next door.Parking only available on the street although we found a space easily. Have been waiting for return of deposit for over 10 days. No reply to e mail sent asking for it to be returned. Would not stay again for this reason.

  Suddenly charged for a deposit and did not issue a receipt or documentation. Told we would receive our deposit after our stay but still haven’t heard a word from them. Tv was not working and staff said they would send someone tomorrow for a week. Room was disappointing and not been properly cleaned. Everything was quite outdated and half the lights did not work. They gave us a double bed instead of two singles.
