    Too Basic; Sheet, No Blanket on Bed; Nothing in Area

    Very worn, far too basic (bed had one sheet and no blanket), up hill from airport, nowhere to walk to stretch your legs, $30 taxi ride to town (that offers very little), nothing nearby (no restaurants). I wanted a basic hotel for half a day I had to wait before my flight, but it was a mistake. It's too basic.

    Steep climb past chained up dogs. Not feasible with luggage and I lift and exercise. Room smells really gross artificial scent and doors just slamming. Taxi is 20$ usd one way for 2 min drive. So dumb. I’ll never stay again.

    The Tahitian Airport Motel is positioned great for overnight stays before or after heading to islands. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable and very clean. The motel is 10 minutes drive to Papeete - taxi will cost $35/$45 - australian $We walked from airport to motel took us 10 minutes - it was an uphill walk for some of the distance - we did the walk ok - age 57/55, however i wouldn’t suggest the walk in the dark - we caught a taxi back to airport in the morning as it was raining and cost us $25 australian dollars

    Be aware of the hills when walking, we arrived at midnight and had no issues (torch on ours phones to light the way) very steep though, we only had carry on luggage so not an issue, would not do it with large heavy suitcases.
