Location

This attractive hotel is surrounded by a beautiful park and is located on the well-known Lichtentaler Allee, only a few minutes from the city centre on foot. The spa centre, the casino, a theatre, the festival hall, the Roman-Irish baths, and the Friedrich baths are all located nearby. The nearest public transport stop is located a few minutes away on foot (about 100 m), and Karlsruhe and the airport are 20 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 121 rooms, including 4 junior suites, suites, 24 single rooms and 45 double rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge). Rooms

A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and a telephone are available for daily use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pleasantly heated water of the indoor pool area guarantees comfortable swimming. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy on-site cycling/mountain biking. For a fee, golf is also available. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym and table tennis. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon and a solarium. Subject to charge: massage treatments.

Various dining options are available, including a non-smoking restaurant, a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include half board and full board. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests serve themseves at the buffet or choose their preferred fare from the menu (for lunch and dinner). Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    I recently stayed at Leonardo Baden Baden Hotel for two nights and had a great experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with good amenities. I especially loved the beautiful mountain view from the balcony — it made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable.The service was excellent. A special mention to Sultano at the reception — he was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.     I experienced the following issues, which I will list and address, based on the problems and the outcome of each.1. All bookings were made via Booking.com 2. I was told that I must pay on the day of arrival and not at checkout. I was told that I would not be given a room until I pay, and I was told “well I can't give you a room without payment being made. What if you refuse to pay?”3. Another guest arrived after that and she was told she was allowed to pay at checkout. 4. I specifically stated that I would like to check the amounts first before any charges were made to my card. Reception then said “oh I already charged your card out!” No apology was given. 4. When the amount was discussed and compared to what was on the Booking.com app, it appeared that the amounts charged were higher vs on the app. I brought this to the attention of the receptionist and even showed her my phone and the figures that were stated on Booking.com app. 5. When I enquired and questioned the amount and why this differed I was informed the following:a. “The amounts can be different”b. “We would charge what’s on our system and we can charge more than what’s on Booking.com.”6. Whilst I was having a discussion with the receptionist, I was shouted and screamed at by a husband and wife couple, telling me to “move on” and stop the discussion with the receptionist. I felt that this impinged on my personal and consumer rights. And this was unacceptable. 7. No manager was on duty and the receptionist did not intervene in any way to ask them to have a seat and grant me my personal space and right to a private conversation. I had to ask the husband and wife (on several occasions) to please back off as the husband came quite close to me during conversation, thereby invading my space and the wife shouted at me from across the hallway as she was getting a drink of water.8. Booking.com confirmed that the hotel is NOT allowed to charge my card without my Prior authorisation first, especially if I asked to confirm the amount or if the amount differed to what’s on the app. The hotel is NOT allowed to charge a higher rate than what was quoted. A manager is required to be available or on duty to resolve any similar issues experienced.     A nice quality hotel in a good location

    A nice hotel in a good location a short (very nice) walk from Baden Baden centre so a great place to base yourself for a visit to this area. Family room was spacious, air conditioned and clean. Breakfast was great and the staff friendly and helpful. All in all I recommend this hotel and consider it good value for money.My only negative comment is that the exterior of the hotel is tired and messy and doesn't match the quality of the interior, particularly the garden area outside of the restaurant which needs some attention.     Worst dining experience ever

    I booked this hotel with dinner included, but the experience was one of the worst I have had worldwide.My reservation for dinner was not on the list, so I waited 1 hour 20 minutes just to be seated.Service was painfully slow: over 1.5 hours for food to arrive.There was no menu choice—only one starter, one main dish, and one dessert.No consideration for allergies or dietary needs.What should have been an enjoyable dinner ruined my day completely.
