  Avoid, save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere!

  It was very poor, arrived to check in and my room had no electricity, and the staff didn’t appear to care. The following morning, there was no hot water, and again the staff didn’t care, instead of offering an apology, just said how hard it was for them. My room was also not very clean, and the bed was quite uncomfortable. All of the staff had quite a surly attitude and didn’t appear to care. The only redeeming factor was the breakfast, which was good, but nothing exceptional. Overall, very disappointing, especially when you factor in how expensive it is! I recommend avoiding! Fortunately, the issue was resolved quickly, and electricity was fully restored shortly thereafter.We would also like to offer our heartfelt apologies for the heating failure the following morning. We fully understand how uncomfortable this must have been, especially as you were affected by both issues during your stay. Unfortunately, this technical malfunction was beyond our immediate control; however, our team made every effort to obtain the necessary spare parts on Saturday morning and managed to repair the heating system within a few hours.We regret that our young and still relatively new team was overwhelmed by this exceptional situation and did not respond in the way we expect of ourselves or wish to offer our guests.   Nice hotel, clean and reasonable price.

  Nice, clean and reasonable price. Great breakfast and in the center of everything. Pre booked your parking spot in advance. Stayed only one night on a last minute trip and would definitely go back and spend a few nights. The host gave us a map of the town and the highlights that are must sees.   The Hotel Merkur in Baden-Baden exceeded all my expectations. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the local attractions on foot.The room was comfortable and stylish, with a modern touch that made the stay even more enjoyable. What really stood out to me, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made an effort to ensure everything was perfect.The hotel’s restaurant has introduced a new concept, and it’s definitely worth trying. The food is delicious, with a fresh and creative approach that takes it to the next level.   My hotel of choice in Baden-Baden with best price /service balance

  After staying in this hotel now the past 3 times in Baden-Baden, I don’t change it anymore. If there is availability I will always come back here. The newly renovated Junior suites and double rooms are perfectly for my business travelling. Very quiet place for working in between meetings and just 2-3 minutes walk to all places in the center of Baden-Baden. Family atmosphere and always quick responding friendly staff.   Great location, clean and spacious rooms with good free breakfast

  Perfect location and nice clean hotel. They have parking near by, you leave the key with the hotel. Pretty nice free breakfast as well. Nice size room with nespresso machine and kettle for tea, we had queen size bed and they set up extra bed for our 18 yrs son. I did message the hotel about extra bed in advance when I made the triple room reservations to make sure they did have extra bed. Definitely would come back here.
