Excellent Stay! Excellent Service With a Smile (Thanks Julia)! Highly Recommend You Splurge!

    rating30 May 2026

We chose the Aqua Aurelia for its location next to Fredriechsbad and Caracella. Having stayed in Baden-Baden previously, we opted to splurge for our annivesary. This hotel was absolutely worth the price during our stay in Baden-Baden! The location is perfect, the room was very large and comfortable (AC worked quite well). The shower/tub combo had excellent pressure, and there were Rituals branded products which were not at all offensive. There is a heated towel/drying rack, and a nice assortment of cotton swabs, cloths, comb, files, etc. Washcloths were provided along with a hair dryer. The closet has cubbies, and an in-room safe, and the room had a minibar fridge (where we were able to squeeze in our bottles of water.) The patio area was wonderful for privacy and people watching. The bed was comfortable with split mattresses and bedding. They had robes and slippers in the closet for going to the spa, and nice reading lights and power stations next to each side of the bed. The breakfast service was wonderful with a wide variety of selections including vegan / gluten free. Julia worked just about everyday of our stay and we looked forward to seeing her each day. She provided service with a smile and true sincerity! We were given champagne on our anniversary along with local chocolates. We were also presented with a bottle of Baden-Badener sparkling riesling upon checkout that was wonderful! Thank you Julia for making our stay so wonderful! Regarding going to the spas: Go to the front desk and let them know which spa you are attending. They will give you a bag with a towel and you can use the underground walkway (the parking garage) to either spa, along with the wristband to get in all while walking in your robe and slippers. I would still recommend water shoes in lieu of the slippers for safety. Keep in mind there is no additional discount for staying at Aqua Aurelia for either spa but the location cannot be beat! It continues to be purchase two hours and get third free at Caracella. Would definitely stay here again during our time in Baden-Baden!

Nice stylish hotel in the middle of Baden Baden.

    rating24 Oct 2025

We were on a trip through the nice places in the Netherlands. On the way back to Switzerland we decided to stay here and travel the rest on the next day. The Hotel is stylish. The rooms are modern but comfortable and surprisingly big. Everything was clean and was well maintained. The staff was friendly and efficient. We liked the atmosphere. Our dog was welcome too. They have a big parking garage which was clean and safe.

    Good Hotel, but Disappointing Treatment

    rating27 Apr 2025

Good Hotel, but Disappointing TreatmentI stayed at this hotel from April 23 to 27, 2025. The location is excellent—just a few steps from the center of Baden-Baden and right across from the Caracalla Baths. The hotel itself is modern and built with high-quality materials. The bed was very comfortable, and the buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious products.I would have rated this hotel 4 or 5 stars, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by the treatment I received. While the staff was generally polite, there were a couple of incidents that left me quite disappointed.Upon arrival, I was assigned a room on the ground floor, directly beneath a row of garbage bins outside the window. Since I was staying for four nights, I asked if it would be possible to switch to another room. I was told that there were no other rooms of my category available, and the only option was to upgrade to a superior room, which would cost an additional 70 euros per night. Given the lack of alternatives, I had no choice but to accept. On the day of my departure, since my flight was later in the afternoon, I requested a late check-out until 3 p.m. I was informed that the latest free check-out was at 1 p.m. (instead of the usual 12 p.m.), and that after that, there would be a charge of 50 euros per hour. At exactly 1 p.m., staff entered my room while I was in the bathroom, which was quite an embarrassing situation, to inform me that I would be charged 50 euros. I finished checking out around 1:15/1:20 p.m., and indeed, I was charged the 50 euros. While I understand that policies need to be enforced, I feel the approach was overly rigid and could have been handled with more understanding and flexibility. It made the overall experience less pleasant. I’m not sure I’ll return to this hotel despite its many positive aspects, though I will definitely return to Baden-Baden, which is a beautiful town.

    Lovely hotel

We had an enjoyable stay. Our junior suite with a park view was spacious for two persons, nicely arranged and had everything one needs for a comfortable stay: bathrobes with sleeper, mini bar, tea/coffee facilities, safe, window blinds. The location is perfect to explore the town and surroundings. We highly recommend this hotel!
