  A bad experience

  The rooms are great, the price was great and the central station is about 10' away by foot. My only serious complaint is that my room was on the ground floor by the main corridor and as it was Easter holiday there was a group of students from the Balkans that were shouting until 2am. There was a guy wearing a t-shirt with the word "security" written on it and he tried his best to seperate the kids and send them to their rooms but as he stood guard in front of my room (with the teachers maybe?) he was louder than the kids. I had to threaten to call the police to finally get some sleep. He was extremely annoyed by my threat and one of the teachers was ready to get violent just because I asked them to shut up at 2:00am...   I stayed at the hostel from April 5th to 7th and had a bad experience.A woman gained access to our room with the key card on the night of the 5th and lay down on a bed that wasn't hers. When the bed's owner arrived, she left. The next day she returned to the room. We thought it was a misunderstanding on the hostel's part and that, since some people had checked out, she would take their place. Because she had the access card, we had no way of knowing.We all went out on the 6th to enjoy the city, and when we returned, some things had been taken, and she was no longer there, including my sneakers.I went to reception to complain, and they said that this was super common, that there were many people in the room and there were always thefts, that the woman wasn't even registered in our room and somehow managed to gain access. They advised me to go to the police to file a report, which I did. Now I'm waiting to see what they will do because I was robbed in my own room.The place is clean, but the security is zero.   Breakfast is good, many options. Avoid packed lunches. Dinner is nice but not many options (they seem to get it right though). Good area for transport as you would expect from it being near Hauptbahnhof. Beds are comfy, shower not so. There is a pool table and a projector that shows football.

  disappointment from day one, due to the rates, i was paying for my stay, according to the websites, offers starting from €27 to €38 , i chose a private room and didn't mind, €50, but the extreme, vary from day one €54.23 plus tax @ €2.23 to the next day, €58.48 ,surplus €4.39, D implementation was on my birthday,€95.03 skyrocketed tax of an awesome price of €7.13 to the last day, a drastic reduced to €38.06 to decrease of the tax to an amount of €2.78. i should had gone to Hilton, or a modest hotel hotel, where a glass of water as a welcome drink is a pattern of courtesy, as we exchange our money wisely. i will had have a petty breakfast as a being, paying that amount, and U know what a buffet they serves, and if there was something special, it's added. a fridge in the room, not to forget the SPA and other quality services. the staffs were nice apart from one lady that was rude and lying through her teeth, on my arrival, i asked the nice man, at the counter, the procedure to the kitchen, €50 as a caution, he politely said... which i can understand, for im a invalid person in remission, therefore i need to eat a certain type of food and ways, so i can prepare certain things, with discretion, before willing to paid, the cautions, we heading upstairs, to 5th floor to inspect the place, it was open, and my friend, residng in Berlin, inspect the kettle, buoy oh buoy she looks at me,, terrify, and told me, come home, i said NO... in the fridge, lays, shopping bags of everytypes. with no offense, we are free to leave as wishes but i discreetly declined in my head, for the kitchen.Hygiene means a lot to me, but away from home, i'm always need to has a humble attitude. but moneywise speaking, i think it should be balance.the room wasn't clean to the whole 4 days, all the money i paid, and on the mirror, a piece of paper, invited clients to made a request if you wish your room to be clean!! Well im over charge for everything, and you think it's okay to take my money and refuse/pretend that i repaid you for a breakfast @€11 or €5.90 for a bowl of miserable porridge, overcharge for a cautions of €50bucks, and overwhelmed taxes, yet the room wasn't cleans, yet the bins was emptied, one day, i was without mat on the WC floor, cause the genius cleaner, took it. I was like perfect! so i had to used a clean towel for the floor. @ D bar, no receipt ,consult about cautions on bottle, but when return they pretend reciept.police every night.i wouldn't recommend.
