Not as bad as it seems but don’t get excited

    rating05 Jun 2026

After reading other reviews, I expected it to be awful, but after arriving it was just average. Rooms were small but cleaner than expected and relatively comfy; bathroom was tiny (don’t come if you’re claustrophobic). Also don’t come if you want to be woken up every morning by music, roadworks and ping pong at 4am. Breakfast was good. Towards the end of the week, drunk people were roaming around and intimidating people. Overall, the stay exceeded the reviews, but is simply average at best

    SCAM WITH CANCELLATION!

    rating12 May 2026

I made a room reservation through Booking.com, but unfortunately my trip was postponed and I called by phone with a cancellation, and the lady informed me that there was not the slightest problem. Which turned out to be a lie and she didn't cancel the booking. On the day of the "arrival" that was supposed cancelled, I was informed that I had not appeared for the booking and they charged £300. I contacted Booking and the bank about it. Why was the cancellation fee charged and the hotel claims that I did not call? terrible place. service tragic in communication. I do not recommend

    Disgusting

    rating13 Mar 2026

This place is disgusting. They gave me sheets with blood on them and staff didnt even apologize for it. (A lot of my group didnt even get sheets) Theres a lack of ramps so you have to lug your luggage up the entrance and building stairs. They didnt give enough keycards for everyone so i have to knock to get in. Usb chargers dont work. Cutlery for the buffet was very dirty. Rooms are too small to even open your luggage. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! They also deleted my google review

    Unwanted 7am wake up call

    rating04 Dec 2025

From reading previous reviews, I believe my family and I got off lucky! We had two private rooms between the four of us, two single beds each room. The room itself was clean and larger than most hotel rooms I have been in. Decent size shower and adequate heating supplies. Where it is let down is by the walls that are paper thin and windows are clearly need replacing due to the huge amount of draft they bring in to the room. Not to say the pieces of fabric that are supposed to be pillows. This hostel is clearly very popular for schools due to the low prices, but with school children come huge amount of noise, late at night - which agreed, is not the hostels responsibility to withhold, but it should be something they address with the teachers when many… many complaints have been put forward - instead the complaints were shrugged off. Away from noise at night, if you forget your alarm in the morning, do not worry as loud construction at the hostel begins at 7am on the dot every morning - banging, shouting, metals crashing. It sets you right for the day….I also recommend people staying here to go to shops surrounding the hostel for drinks and food. The hostel charges double, if not more, for what you can get elsewhere. I skipped breakfast here as it was €12 per person and I wouldn’t eat enough to justify that price, but two of my family members had breakfast and they did say it was very nice. Finally, (not all bad) the hostel is at a very good location for buses and trams to get to where you need to be. Would I recommend? If you are on an extremely low budget then yes - if you can spare a bit more money to stay elsewhere, I would tell you to consider that instead!
