    We arrived at the Adina Apartment Hotel Berlin Hackescher Markt late, and I mentioned to the front desk clerk that we were starving and would be out looking for food after we checked in. He s said, "I'll take care of your bags, go eat now and check in after you eat". He gave us the easy directions to the lively Hackescher Markt, where most, if not all, of the restaurants were still open. This level of service continued throughout our entire stay - at times offering more help than we needed.The breakfast buffet is extra, and nothing is made to order. We were down for breakfast as soon as it opened, and with the exception of hash brown potato patties on one day, everything was at least warm. There was some variation in the daily offerings.Our studio "apartment" was actually pretty big, laid out "shotgun" style with a small kitchen, with dinnerware, a few pots and pans, a 2 burner stove, microwave, sink, refrigerator, and even a small dishwasher. I don't know if there was a conventional oven - didn't look. There was a desk and chair next to the closet at the back of the room. We had a sofa, a small dining table, and good-sized tv. The mattress was nice and firm.The bathroom had a walk-in shower with half a door. Just make sure the shower is pointing down and away from the wall.The carpet was clean and odorless, although there were a few stains, as mentioned in some reviews - not an issue for us.     Great location, just not as good as it used to be

    Great locationSpacious roomGood breakfast, with plenty of choice, but no gluten free bread offeredQuick check in, with online option to check inWish the room could have been tidied as you would normally expect - we understood that their policy was cleaned every three days of your stay, but it would be nice for the beds to be made and bins emptied for the price tag. As we were there for three nights, house keeping wasn’t included as part of our stay - disappointing. We would also have liked to sit in the bar and have a drink before going up to our room, like we did when we first stayed in the Adina in Berlin. However, when we came back from dinner at 9.15pm on a Friday night, we were told that the bar was closing at 930. The website says that the bar is open until 10.30 Tuesday - Saturday. We were able to buy a bottle of wine and take it up to our room, although the member of staff seemed shocked that we would want a whole bottle - we were on holiday! There is an outdoor courtyard area that we sat in with a morning coffee a couple of times. It would have been even nicer if the tables were cleaned and someone did a bit of gardening because it looked quite untidy. Overall, a good stay but could have been made that bit better with low level house keeping and a bar that was open after 930 on a Friday night.     We upgraded our room to a suite 613 and we had a great view of the tv tower. Loved the washer/dryer and bath tub. This hotel has a perfect location so we always walked but it is super close to the subway. We would definitely stay here again. There is also a Rewe supermarket and bakery around the corner.     Traveled for city trip and working. Perfectly located nearby S-Bahn Station "Hackescher Markt". Also tram station around the corner, from there you have only a few minutes to Alexanderplatz. Supermarket and bakery in the buliding complex (1-2 minutes from hotel lobby).Room clean, enough space including a small kitchen with a large cooler.Our apartment was on the 6th floor, faced to the inner side of the building complex. Very quiet. Climated with possiblilities to open the windows.Friendly, helpful service on site.     The hotel is centrally located and overall good. But we did have some issues with our room and functionality of some of the facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful but one staff member was truly exceptional. Francisco (Fran) went above and beyond to solve our issues (at 11:30pm) and ensured everything was fixed by maintenance the next day. He then continued to follow up to make sure the rest of our stay was good. He was an excellent ambassador for the hotel and exhibited ingenuity, understanding and professionalism.
