I don't understand the negative reviews

    rating18 Dec 2025

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The room is small but perfect for somewhere to sleep and use as a base when not sight seeing. The breakfast is expensive so we didn't try it but you are so close to everything you don't need to, there's cafes and restaurants everywhere. Central location so you can walk or get many of the public transport all over Berlin. Room was clean, shower was very hot. They will not clean your room unless you scan the QR code and tell them what you need. But we are adults here, not sure why people need their bed making every day and can't do it themselves. There's no fridge or kettle but you can use the iron and ironing board in the locker room. This is a budget hotel so I'm unsure what people are expecting for the price. The rooms are accessed by a code on the door and the staff are really attentive and helpful. Reception is 24 hours and you can buy snacks and water. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Nice budget hotel for the price. If you want your bed making every day you should go elsewhere. Only downside for me was lack of fridge.

    Not a good experience

The smell of the room was stinky, even we left the window open for all time. Strange smell on the hallway too. Room has never been made/cleaned even I asked for twice. Basket bin full, floor unclean, etc. Disappoint all the days. Breakfast is not included and it's very poor of selection for a high pricw (skipped). Don't recommentld this hotel.I have stayed in more BB hotels in other cities and countries, never been disappointed before.

    Great hotel in safe location.

A great hotel in a quiet and safe location. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms small but it's just a base so no issues at all. Room was clean and serviced daily. Five min walk from local restaurants and about five mins walk to nearest train station.

    Berlin Short stay

    rating04 Mar 2025

We had a four night stay in Berlin the hotel is just a 10/15 minute walk from the main train station really easy to find it’s in a nice quiet area just a few minutes walk from the shops and 10/15 minutes walk from The Brandenburg gate. The rooms are quite small but clean and modern the only complaint is you get an 8 digit code to get into the room which is a bit of a pain other than that the hotel is good

Fawlty Towers, broken down, old and un-clean

    rating06 Dec 2024

The B&B Hotel at Albrechtstrasse is at best a run-down 3-star hotel at 4-star prices. Quality/Price: poor. I would strongly recommend the Premier Inn for this price (which I am used to).The room was average, with an old shower, and the cleaning was clearly skimped (under the bed it was caked thick with dirt and dust! I was NOT impressed! There is one lift for both clients and the service personnel with their cleaning trolleys! Horrendous! You can wait an eternity to go up and down, and their trolleys have precedence over you as a paying client! The room hospitality was very poor: coffee & milk were not available in the rooms, the free bottle of daily water to the room was never delivered, and the tea sachets were never re-filled. The cups were removed and not replaced with clean ones, so there was nothing to drink from. The room temperature was de-regulated and blowing at 30°C, so I asked the staff reception to lower the heat. I asked it to be lowered to 20°C, but they could only get it down to 25°C from their controls at staff reception. It wasn't great for sleeping! One of the girl's at the hotel reception should be required to follow a hotel training programme and learn a few basics about being polite to customers. Overall, I was not impressed. The B&B was definitely a Fawlty Towers hotel that I would NOT recommend. The whole place needs to be re-vamped. On future trips, I will stay at Premier Inn, Berlin.
