  Mostly good stay in a hotel typical for its type

  I stayed six nights at this location.The Good: Solid German hotel breakfast with the usual-good bread, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruit. Comfortable, if small, room, well-designed. Good shower pressure and temperature. Typical firm bed (which I like). Easy access to buses, a bit of a walk to two U-Bahn stops.The Not So Good: Reception closes as 10 and there is seemingly no one on staff around, except for an emergency number to call. No real lounge-tables and chairs in the breakfast room and a couple couches in the very small lobby. No bar (but a vending machine for drinks, which was sort of cool).Other Notes: The location is about a 15 minute walk to Potsdamer Platz. En route to PP there really isn't anything (such as cafes or shops) besides a library and a theatre. You do pass by a pretty canal. South of the hotel about 2-3 blocks there start to be cafes, shops, etc., especially nearer to the U-Bahn stops. Overall, solid. My biggest concern is the lack of staff overnight and of a lounge.   This made a good base for 3 nights to explore Berlin. Possible to walk to the Reichstag and Brandenberg gate. Easy access to the metro….and be sure to buy a drink in the Winter Garden next door to checkout the loos!Breakfast was good, reception staff helpful. The room was a little warm at times and the shower could have been warmer, but for the price it was fine.   Want a hot shower? Not here!

  We stayed here for 3 nights. First, the water in the sink is HOT but the shower is lukewarm at best. Not good when youve been in 30-40 F degree weather all day. Asked the management and they said it was because everyone was showering at the same time. What a bunch of garbage. Okay....my husband went to shower at 5 am....LUKEWARM water. Additionally, the room air and heat were not working at all. we had to open the window every night to stay cool, then shut it when it got cold. The back and forth. Spend a little more and get a better hotel. NeVER again!

  Decent enough hotel to stay in, we don’t spend much time in the hotel due to sight seeing so it was perfect for us! Air con worked which is always a bonus, only thing I’d say is that the room we had was really small so if you planned on spending a lot of time in the room then maybe it wouldn’t be ideal, we had 2 20kg luggage cases and there wasn’t enough space to open them in the room on the floor! Shower was okay too 8/10
