    Perfect hub for seeing Berlin

    The Berliner bär Hotel for me is everything it says on the Tin.It is a 3 star hotel that has very friendly staff, great travel links and clean.My room was perfect for my stay with available for most areas of Berlin a very short walk away.If you want a 5 star super hotel you will pay for it then you get the things people on here are niggling at.I recommend for your trip to BerlinLee -Newcastle

    Where to start...no aircon in a hotel in summer...and beside a highway so each night was a balance between noise V heat.The matteress was a piece of foam...maybe if you are a 50kg person its ok..more than that you are lying on the floor more or less.The staff, a very nice lady there on check in, BUT the next morning when showering I relaised there was no soap/shampoo/etc in the bathroom..well almost none...when I told reception she implied it was my fault for not telling them the night before (I should have checked the bottle in the shower), and that I should have left the clean my rrom sign on the door, and basically i was silly for not doing this...The room itself was like a prison cell, but I did see there are nicer rooms, which I guess you can see in the photos.Its got nothing nearby except a rewe, which is handy, and the street outside is a bit unfriendly.TLDR 3 nights there and I am tired, sore and covered in bites.....

    Stayed 2 nights here in March when in Berlin for a weekend. The place is a 3 star hotel and that's what you're getting. The rooms are fine, the beds are fine, the bathroom is fine. It's not a high luxury space so don't expect that when you go. It was a place to pause and sleep for me and that's it.Breakfast was decent. The breakfast room is on the top floor so you'll get a nice view over the old Tempelhof airport. Selection was good for both food and drink, albeit Germany as a country still hasn't quite got how to do "English Breakfast" tea.Location is decent, 10 min walk from Tempelhof U+S Bahn station which means you've got a lot of options of where to go transport wise. Taxi to the airport when I had to go at 4.30am was about 55 euro but during more reasonable hours, I'd use the public transport.There is a Rewe supermarket nearby which is ideal for picking up food stuffs (chocolate, etc.) for presents because the cost will be substantially lower than the duty free.Overall, I'd use this hotel again should the need arise. The staff were friendly and informative, they spoke English when I was so tired that my German failed me and the room was not spectacular but it was comfy.

    Good size room and a very pleasant lobby bar. A lot to choose from for breakfast.     Good location of the hotel. S-bahn and U-bahn stations (Alt-Tempelhof)are nearby (about 5-7 minutes by feet). Supermarket "Rewe" is near to the hotel (3-5 minutes).Big and comfortable beds in the room. Good variant for accommodation in Berlin for 2-3 nights.
