This luxurious health resort lies in the courtyard of the Berliner Schultheiss brewery in the attractive area of Spandau, directly next to Spandau Lake. Countless shopping and entertainment venues, as well as some of the city's best tourist sights, are within walking distance of the hotel, or may easily be reached by using the local public transport. It is 10 km to Berlin Tegel Airport and Schoenefeld Airport is approximately 35 km away.

Facility

158 rooms, including 8 junior suites, suites, 4 single rooms and 145 double rooms, are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry, a hotel doctor and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Rooms feature a living area, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning and central heating ensure comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station are standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and bathrobes are available for daily use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Excellent swimming awaits guests in the pool complex (for a fee), which features 10 indoor saltwater pools (heated in part) (for a fee). There are 10 children's pools as well. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub (for a fee). Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy on-site Nordic walking. For a fee, cycling/mountain biking is also available. A wide range of indoor sports are offered, including yoga or, for a fee, a gym, callisthenics and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a hammam, a beauty salon, anti-ageing treatments and Ayurveda treatments and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments and a solarium. Guests can enjoy a range of leisure facilities and activities, including an entertainment programme and a kids' club.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant with a smoking area, a dining room, a breakfast room and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Gavin and Kats night in a Berlin Hotel

    Hotel room was perfect however only storage for folder clothes no hangers, nice pool and jacuzzi, 3 saunas of different temperatures and a steam room which is heaven in February, lots of pool classes going on while I was there so had to wait for the pool and sauna.

    I booked this hotel specifically for its spa facilities, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. What is not made clear when booking is that the spa is also open to outside members, meaning it was overcrowded, noisy, and anything but relaxing. At one point there was even an aqua aerobics class taking place in the pool area, which is hardly the calm atmosphere you’d expect from a spa.Another major issue is that the saunas are nude-only, something that is not mentioned anywhere on the hotel’s website or booking information. As a young female guest, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I was approached by an older man at the pool who, despite my obvious discomfort, continued to talk to me and even invited me to join him in the nude sauna. To make matters worse, I also witnessed a naked man on the roof terrace behaving inappropriately while staring at me. This was deeply unsettling.When I reported these incidents to reception, the staff lacked understanding and almost appeared humoured. The receptionist I spoke to was rude, sarcastic, and indicated that I was being “prude”, due to all spas in Berlin being nude. This kind of response is unacceptable.Overall, I did not feel safe or respected during my stay and could not make use of the spa facilities I had booked the hotel for. This can be unusual for guests unfamiliar with this sauna culture, and we should have communicated this information more clearly.Our goal is a respectful and relaxing environment for all guests.     Great hotel, on a great and quiet location in Spandau. The rooms are spacious, with a nice shower and great bed - and all rooms are equiped with a duster and a pair of slippers for a spa visit. The hotel is next to a lake - with all kind of nice hiking options in the nearby area.     Loved it! Had a great time! I'd been a bit concerned after reading some of the more negative reviews but i did not share their experience at all.Reception: the staff were fab, friendly and polite. Happy to help with anything we asked and kindly spoke English as we didn't know a lot of German. Room: clean, well designed, beds were very comfortable. Had zero noise disturbance from the rest of the hotel. Unlimited sparkling water available by machine in hallway. Limited tea/coffee selection so if that's important to you, would recommend bringing your own.Bar/restaurant: we did not eat at the hotel but both evenings had drinks in the bar. The staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. Reasonable prices for a hotel. Great ambience, lovely live piano music too.Spa/pool: the facilities were great. Good changing room, storage and shower area. The pool was clean. Yes some tiles are chipped but very few and did not cause any problems. There was a free aqua aerobics class on in the morning in the main pool, but a smaller alternative pool to enjoy if you didn't want to do the class as well as hot tub and sauna. It seems standard to be nude in saunas in Germany, which I'm not used to but if you want to enjoy the sauna, respect the culture. We went to another spa while we were in Berlin and it was the same there, clothing optional and nudity very normalised.We did not opt in for the breakfast as it was quite expensive at 20 euros per person, and instead walked 15 minutes along the river into Spandau were there are multiple cafes and bakeries with great options.The only disappointment was that the rooftop bar was not open, the website says it is open 'in the summer months' and that is defined as July onwards, which was a shame on a warm May day!     A fantastic hotel with excellent facilities for a pleasant and long stay. The hotel has everything you need for a pleasant stay, from wellness, gym, massages and many other similar things for a nice vacation. Breakfast at the hotel is very varied and rich.
