Location

20 single rooms and 50 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock.     Great location and value

    Great location, very comfy beds and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. I stayed in a double room (114) which I would recommend avoiding as its next to the stairwell and overlooks a terrace which limits your privacy but otherwise if you stay in a room facing away from the road, for the price, it’s a no brainer, unless you want 5*. I will definitely stay again.

    Private Room Broken Into

    I was staying in a private room with 4 other girls and a man was able to break into our room at 4:30am even though our door was closed and locked. Two of the girls I was staying with went to the front desk shortly after it happened to tell the staff. The man who came up to help us said that the lock on our door was broken (which it wasn’t) and he said that since it was a private room, it was impossible that someone could get in without a key. He invalidated our feelings and was not listening to us and said “you’re probably fine” and to “just go back to sleep.” We then spoke to another staff member a few hours later and he too said it was impossible for anyone to get in without a key and was very defensive when we asked him questions. We all found it very unsettling that this situation wasn’t taken very seriously by the hostel. It should have been handled better. Also, I thought the hostel was located in a sketchy area. One night, we heard a lot of screaming at 3am. The area also has a lot of trash on the sidewalks. With that being said, I would not recommend staying here.

    Gritty Turkish cultural neighborhood. Stayed in 4 bed mixed room with attached bathroom. Safe and clean facility, very friendly helpful courteous 247 reception, good location base to walk around and explore Berlin. Local transport, ATM, best breakfast bakery, late night food are all right outside on the street.

    What is it we want?Comfy bed - yesClean room - yesNo noise - whilst bustling outside the windows did their job well.Convenient location - yes, very close to public transport optionsGreat breakfast - yes, everything buffet style and more options than anyone could wantHappy hour in the bar - well this was a bonus.Easy check in and out.A safe place for luggage to be left.All in all, very good. I was in a double with single occupancy and an ensuite.

    I stayed here for a group event held at a nearby location. II had a private room with private bath. The hostel has a breakfast buffet which has some hot items as well as rolls, cheeses, fruit, and cereal. The hostel is located near the Hermanplatz metro station. I would stay here again if I were visting Berlin in the future.
