  Nice hotel. It's located close to the park but rather to its south western corner so it takes a 10-minute walk to get to the Neues Palais and 20 minutes to the Sans Souci palace.The hotel is new. The room was good and quiet as we had one overlooking the internal garden. Good breakfast with nice selection. The free above ground parking has two small lots good for about a dozen cars. It was full so we parked our car on the grassy lawn on the street corner. They tried to to sell us their underground parking which we hadn't noticed initially but we were in a rush to get to the park so we left the car where it was and it was perfectly fine there overnight.   okay but isolated

  I stayed here to attend a conference at Potsdam University, and that's really the only reason to stay here (or for an extended visit to Sanssouci). The hotel is walking distance from the University but otherwise there's not much around, no restaurants, shops or attractions. It's a 25 minute walk to a more lively area or a bus / train ride. The hotel is by the intersection of two busy roads so if you're sensitive to noise, it's a good idea to ask for a room away from the road. Rooms are sensibly decorated and fairly spacious, but nothing special or memorable. Breakfast is good quality German breakfast with some hot options. I paid a conference rate of 80 Euros per night and I wouldn't want to pay more.   Do you want to have a noisy stay? Do you like unpleasant and rude staff? Stay at this hotel.

  a) THE ROOMS FACING THE STREETS ARE VERY NOISY.as the hotel is opposite a railway line, there are trains of the Deutsche Bahn, whether they are freight or passengers. And you are listening to everything 24hs ... On the other side of the street, there is a huge transformer in green color (attached photo) belonging to the company buzzing all night. No...the hotel obviously do not warn you about this!!! As the street of the hotel has some heavy traffic, so at dawn, you are awakened by the noise of the cars / buses / trucks that begin their daily activities. CONCLUSION: almost paradise, isn't?b) STAFF - oh my God !!! It is worldwide famous that the Germans are not a taste of sympathy except when they are among themselves.Fact. ... But this reception, from day and night shifts, won the top unsympathetic prize of the year. I was treated like a beggar...Do you think I'm exaggerating? I arrived to check in ai 1AM, almost frozen temperature at 2°C and there were 1 boy and 1 girl at the desk.And guess what??They did not even hesitate to ask me to wait for them...they both were out, finish smoking and come in again!!! Really!!! Believe me.It's true.   Solid hotel, best price in Postsdam

  This hotel provided a solid experience and the best price in the Berlin area. I took a group of high school students there for an international conference in Berlin and the hotel accommodated us nicely. The breakfast was NOT included in the price and was a bit expensive but the rooms were nice and spacious by European standards. The location was quiet and peaceful. It was a short walk to the San Souci train station which gave easy access to Berlin via the Potsdam Hbf and a few direct trains city center. If you want to enjoy Berlin, the location is a bit distant. If you want to enjoy Potsdam, you are still on edge of town. But given the state of Berlin these days, I was happy to be in this quiet, safe, and tranquil location. The staff was quite nice, especially a chap from Slovenia who spoke impeccable English.   Good business hotel only 10 minutes walk from the station Park Sanssouci.The rooms are ok and clean, the staff is nice and helpful. Furniture a bit outdated, but not old.
