good hotel in a great location

    rating25 Apr 2026

nice hotel in a great location. We were “upgraded” ( two of us) to a family room. They didnt tell us it was an adjoining room. The next room was watching tv until 2am the first night and it was noisy! They only left us two sachets of coffee in the room we went to reception and asked for more they said housekeeping would give us more. 8 hours later they hadnt so I went back to reception to ask again. I was asked if I was entitled to any! not happy Hotel Manager, Owner at INNSiDE by Melia Berlin Mitte, responded to this review Dear Guest, Thank you for providing us with your feedback, it is always gratefully received. We're thrilled you found our location ideal for exploring Berlin's vibrant heart. We sincerely apologize for the noise disruption and coffee supply hiccup during your stay. While we aim to provide seamless comfort, we acknowledge the importance of clear communication regarding room upgrades and will reinforce this with our team.Your appreciation of our central spot near key attractions allows us to Stay Curious about improving every guest experience. The entire team certainly hope we can see you again in the future. Comfortable stay

    rating20 Apr 2026

Visited this hotel recently and must say it done the trick for us. Check in/out was no problem and staff were lovely. Room was clean and adequate for our visit, as only in Berlin for a few days. Bit out the way but attractions were still within walking distance, although the weather did help as sunny every day. Can't comment about the food as we were room only and tended to eat out before our return to the hotel at night, breakfast buffet did look OK when we passed in the morning. Would return and recommend this hotel Hotel Manager, Owner at INNSiDE by Melia Berlin Mitte, responded to this review Dear David, We appreciate you letting us know about your recent visit. We’re thrilled you found our check-in process seamless and enjoyed the warm hospitality from our team, it’s always heartwarming to hear we’ve hit the right notes.Your kind words about the cleanliness and comfort of your room put a spring in our step, as we’ve poured plenty of thoughtful touches into those everyday essentials. While our vibrant Mitte neighborhood keeps you close to Berlin’s pulse, we appreciate your note about location and are glad the sunny days made exploring on foot a breeze. It’s music to our ears that you’d return and recommend us, we’ll keep those organic soft drinks chilled and the Open Living Lounge buzzing for your next adventure. Stay Curious! It would be a pleasure to welcome you back on a future occasion. Kindest regards,Guest Experience TeamINNSiDE by Meliá Berlin Mitte

I've had a few stays here. In-keeping with Melia's innside brand, it's a mid-range option that's always been a reliable choice for a city break. Yet on my most recent visit, I feel it has started to fall short of that.Upon checking in, I needed to request a room change as the headboard in my room was visibly worn away and stained. When I called the reception to report this, I was advised that someone would be coming to inspect it but I waited almost 20 minutes and no one arrived. I called reception again and it was the same scenario - another long wait without anyone coming to the room. That prompted me to go downstairs to reception to organise the room change. It wasn't a good start to my perception of customer service. The hotel is starting to look a bit tired in places. Cracks in fittings, furniture and fixtures and some furniture starting to look quite scuffed and dingy can be seen in rooms and communal areas. An underwhelming experience was on two occasions, I had indicated do not disturb outside of my room as I was returning shortly before setting out for the day (which is when I would have wanted my room cleaned while I was out). However, having seen me leave the room, housekeeping changed this on the indicator so that they were able to gain access to the room for cleaning. While I recognise and respect the huge task of cleaning a hotel and the zeal of housekeeping in wanting to get through as many rooms as possible, this was not appropriate. I might have left the room but I could have left a partner or other guest in there who would not have anticipated being disturbed. This represented poor form on the part of housekeeping in my opinion. The hotel gym similarly looked a bit tired with black tape now being used to patch up upholstery on a machine. However, it did the job for a reasonable workout. There are some positives for the hotel. The complimentary mini bar with soft drinks is a nice touch for a mid-range hotel and the hotel itself is in a good location for public transport and local amenities. There is complimentary WiFi but it wasn't working during my stay.Beyond shower gel, shampoo and lotion, don't expect any bathroom amenities - at least there weren't any in my room. Those amenities are of a decent standard as are the hotel towels. Although toilet paper was very thin and of poor quality that you would expect in a much lower star hotel.Overall, you need to really manage your expectations staying here. If you are anticipating the Meliá brand, despite this being a mid-range hotel, then you will be disappointed. But if you really aren't that fussed and are happy with an average stay where you spend little time in your room, then this will probably do the job. Hotel Manager, Owner at INNSiDE by Melia Berlin Mitte, responded to this review Dear ShahLaw,Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review following your recent stay with us.First of all, I truly regret that your latest experience did not live up to the positive impressions you had from your previous visits. This makes your feedback even more valuable to us.I am especially sorry for the situation you experienced upon arrival. Having to follow up multiple times regarding a room issue and eventually needing to come down to reception yourself is certainly not the level of responsiveness we aim to provide. Please accept my sincere apologies for this inconvenience.Your comments regarding the overall condition of the hotel, including visible wear in rooms and public areas, are noted and understood. While we continuously invest in maintaining and improving our facilities, we acknowledge that there are areas where this is currently more noticeable than it should be.To give you some context, we are in the process of several upgrades across the hotel:– A completely new Wi-Fi infrastructure is currently being installed and will be finalized shortly– Our gym will be fully refurbished with new equipment within the next months– Restaurant furniture is being replaced in the coming weeks, while our bar furniture has just been newly reupholstered– In our rooms, we are gradually replacing headboards and carrying out continuous maintenance workThat said, this should never impact the guest experience in the way you described, and I fully understand your disappointment.I am also particularly concerned to read your feedback regarding the handling of the “Do Not Disturb” sign. This does not reflect our standards, and I agree with you – under no circumstances should this be overridden by our housekeeping team. Please be assured that this matter will be addressed internally with the necessary seriousness.Thank you as well for highlighting the positive aspects, such as our complimentary minibar and location – this is very much appreciated.Regarding the Wi-Fi issues during your stay, I would like to apologise for the inconvenience. As mentioned above, this is part of the current upgrade works and will be significantly improved very soon.We truly value your honest feedback, especially as a returning guest, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future to provide you with a much improved experience.Kind regards,Thomas Heinemann, Hotel Manager, INNSiDE by Meliá Berlin Mitte

    Lovely festive stay!

    rating23 Mar 2026

After a long day of travelling, we arrived at this hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We were given a voucher for 10% discount in the restaurant that evening and the food was excellent. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and the restaurant staff advised what dishes I could have. We were in room 420 which was spacious and clean with a TV, plenty of storage space for clothes, a kettle, mugs and tea/coffee, a small refrigerator with cold drinks which was topped up free of charge as required and continuous hot water in the bathroom. The room was warm but there was also air conditioning for warmer weather. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road and junction opposite so there was some traffic noise but, obviously, that wasn't the fault of the hotel. We didn't breakfast in the hotel as it wasn't really suitable for gluten and dairy free-although the waiter did offer to bake some bread for me. If you didn't need gluten and dairy free, there was a lovely array of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, ham, cheese and some hot items. We hadn't booked breakfast and, at that time, it cost €24 each. The hotel is within easy walking distance of tube stations and tram stops and we also walked to the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the Cathedral and to various Christmas markets-Humboldt Forum, Rotes Rathaus and Alexanderplatz. On our last day, they kept our luggage safe for us whilst we spent our last morning sightseeing. We had a lovely 4 nights there and I would not hesitate to stay there again. Hotel Manager, Owner at INNSiDE by Melia Berlin Mitte, responded to this review Dear Affie,Thank you for writing a review of your recent visit and for recommending our hotel. We're thrilled you felt welcomed by our team and appreciated the restaurant's attentiveness to dietary needs, crafting memorable dining experiences is what we love to do!Your kind words about the room's thoughtful essentials and central location as your Berlin base put smiles on our faces. While our soundproof windows do their best against city buzz, we appreciate your understanding and happily recommend inner courtyard rooms for future stays if you'd like extra tranquility.Though our breakfast spread aims to delight diverse tastes, we're always exploring ways to broaden allergy-friendly options, your insights are gold for this journey. It was our pleasure to safeguard your luggage while you soaked up those final festive moments, here's to many more chances for you to Stay Curious in our neighborhood! We hope that you will return in the future. Best wishes,Thomas Heinemann, Hotel Manager, INNSiDE by Meliá Berlin Mitte

    Lovely hotel in convenient location

    rating22 Feb 2026

We stayed for 3 nights in February 2026. Two rooms. One was a spacious family room with double bed and bunk beds for the children. There was a bath and shower in that room. The other room was a double with shower. The rooms were clean, warm and quiet. Great water pressure in the shower! The soft drinks in the fridge were topped up daily (part of the package). If you are travelling with children or as a group, this hotel has a great break-out area with pool table and table football. We made lots of use of that! There is also a TV area, bar and restaurant area. The food served is basic (the menu probably changes regularly) though we didn't see much food available in the evenings. It is possible you need to pre-order.The hotel is part of a chain I believe but the interior of the shared areas is dressed well and it appears to be more individual because of that. It's a bit quirky looking, which was good. Great location. Close to the Berlin Wall visitor centre and several bus/tram/underground stops a few minutes walk. Hotel Manager, Owner at INNSiDE by Melia Berlin Mitte, responded to this review Dear Rebecca,Thank you for your positive feedback. We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed our central location near iconic landmarks like the Berlin Wall Visitor Centre, making exploration effortless.Your kind words about the clean, warm rooms with great water pressure are appreciated, our delicately designed spaces aim to blend comfort with thoughtful touches. It’s wonderful that the Open Living Lounges provided a vibrant spot for family fun, from pool tables to shared moments.Regarding evening dining, our Crafterie Restaurant offers seasonal menus, and we recommend checking availability during peak hours for the freshest options. We’re delighted the hotel’s unique character stood out, reflecting Berlin’s creative spirit in every corner. The entire team look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best wishes,Thomas Heinemann, Hotel Manager, INNSiDE by Meliá Berlin Mitte
