  Overall it is a good Hotel to stay - this was our 4th time stay!

  What did we like:This was our 4th time stay in this hotel. We like the hotel very much in general, i.e. staff, breakfast, location and cleanliness. Moreover this time I must mention that there was a Receptionist (I think her name is Joice) who was exceptionally service minded and helpful from every corner! For example, during our previous stays there was no Receptionist has ever told us about Leonardo Club membership so we did not know about it at all. We always used the Bar every night but never benefitted the discount (breakfast we always paid with the room)! This time, the moment we booked the hotel, Joice informed us about it saying we can use the membership for getting discount on food, bar and even room booking (if doing on hotel website), that was very impressed, and she can help us in joining after we arrived! Though we found all other Receptionists during previous stays & this time were kind but did not find as service minded-so not only about membership but if we ask something simple like about a location, or opening hours (due to Easter), they just washed their hands of giving answers like I don't know, which we were surprised! But, anything we asked from Joice she went beyond her limit, found details on the net and provided everything she could-this is called service minded & guest service in the hospitality industry! I myself have worked in a few 5 star hotels, so I know what is to be in the hospitality service! So, truly Joice is an asset to the Leonardo Boutiqe hotel, and we wish her all the best!Breakfast-we like the breakfast at the hotel, that is one of the reasons we booked for the 4th time. Location-we also like the location & the area (though not many restaurants close by) - we like the area though we have to walk 10 mts. for the U bahn, and have just 1 restaurant close to the hotel. Most importantly we can find free Parking in the area, which is 1 big reason to choose!Cleanliness - housekeeping cleaned the room every time when we put the sign to cleaning.What to be improved?Coffee Machine should be changed - it looks simple but it is not working properly, if worked you get coffee only 1 cm of the cup. Also, no possibility to ad milk, neither provided coffee cream.Price - if can keep the price little low that would be great since we found room with breakfast have increased a lot! At least if you provide a discount (even if book via Booking.com) or breakfast incl. for the Leonardo Club members that would be helpful!   Very poor-barely a 3 Star…

  Travel from Berlin Airport. I stayed at the Hotel in June 2025. It is located between Berlin Airport and the City Centre. I used public transport to the hotel -Express bus- X7 (X71) to Rudow, and then the 171 which stops very near to the hotel. I am a regular user of the Leonardo Brand. However, this time I was unimpressed by this "Boutique" hotel. It is situated on a main road - dual carriage way in both directions. As soon as I arrived- it looked very "Poky". No lobby area, the reception was tiny and doubled to the "Bar" behind it. There was the usual water dispenser with mint leaves and cucumber slices. ( It was not regularly maintained and - warm water only that appeared to have been there all day). No plain water for anyone with a dislike to these additives or allergies, and a few apples in reception- which is the norm with this brand. I was allocated a room on the second floor at the rear of the building- which I was glad for as it was quieter the road facing rooms. (All the odd numbered rooms are at the front and the even numbered at the rear. The Room. The room was adequate for my stay of three nights and sufficient storage. The air con worked well. The shower ( mixer taps over a bath) was ok. The bath itself was exceptionally slippery without a bath mat or any slip resistance.There was shower gel- and that’s it- no shampoo, no conditioner and no body lotion.The sink/ vanity area only contained hand wash- again no hand cream etc. There was a hairdryer, tissues.The bathroom was exceptionally tired and requires a re-fit/furb. There was a safe free and easy to use. Sufficient wardrobe hanging space. There was a kettle and some sachets of tea and coffee. (No cookies like their other hotels) and a complimentary bottle of still water. The fridge was in working order. I did not book breakfast - so I cannot comment on this.There are no slippers or bathrobes. The staff. I only met the morning receptionist- Ali, he was friendly greeting me when left in the mornings.The afternoon receptionist- I don't know her name as she was not wearing a name badge. She was very helpful with directions. I called reception and asked for some slippers and a bathrobe. I was told to go down to reception to get them- which I did. Although she could not locate a robe, when I returned the next day after my day out, she had kindly found one and saved it for me at reception. I was also able to purchase a 24hour Berlin travel voucher at reception- which was handy. They were priced at ten euro's the same price as online or at the ticket machines. The ticket is valid for all local trains, buses and trams. You have to have your passport with you- to validate the tickets. Bizzare, I always leave my PPT in the hotel safe. So I had to carry it with me the whole trip to produce if a ticket inspector required to check my tickets. The area. There is an Italian restaurant next door to the hotel- ( it looked lovely - I had planned to dine there, but ran out of time.There is a Netto supermarket right next door to the hotel, a MacDonalds and an Aldi for any essentials.To get to the city centre- you have a few options. The 171 local bus which takes you to Hermanplatz and then the U8 to Alexanderplatz which is the largest square in Germany. Featuring shops, bar, and restaurant's. It is where the Berlin tower is too. Or, you can take the U7 from Grenz Alle and change at Hermanplatz and then the U8(as above).I would not stay at this hotel or recommend it. It is barely a 3 star NOT a 4 star - and scraping at that.   Myself and my partner went to Berlin for a city trip and opted to stay just outside the city centre for a bit more of a quieter relaxing trip. The hotel was very clean spacious and just why we needed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming each time we entered and left the building. The pillows were extremely soft so these could have been renewed by if you use 2 then this is ok. We didn’t have food here so can’t comment on the breakfast they serve but there is a small selection of snacks you can buy and a small bar along with a very comfortable seating area if you like to sit and relax outwith your room. There is lots of local shops very close by along with a wide range of restaurants all within walking distance. There is also a massive shopping centre that is a 15 min walk from the hotel, the transport links for this city is Amazing and really easy to get around, plan your route as the underground’s travel back and forth and not just the one way. These can mix you up easily. I would recommend staying here and would stay here again if we come to Berlin.   I stayed here with my siblings to be close to the hospital after our father had a stroke. The hotel had everything we needed and there was a calm atmosphere and good breakfast.Most of all; the staff helped us so much as we were dealing with this difficult situation and met us with great kindness and understanding. I must make special mention for Mr Ali Sigar who went above and beyond to make our lives as comfortable and easy as possible during our stay. Any hotel should be grateful to have him on staff as he is not only a kind and caring professional but he also has a great eye for anticipating clients’ needs and problem solving.
