Facility

144 non-smoking rooms, including 7 suites, 15 apartments, 36 single rooms and 79 double rooms, are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     All you could wish for in central Berlin

    This has been the clearest score 5 out of 5 for a long time. Excellent location, friendly staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, great breakfast, everything perfect. And on top of all this you can spend the evenings at the nice bar tasting your way through a long list classic and innovative cocktails, with or without alcohol, personally prepared by the award-winning bar tender.

    Extra space in room with separate living room

    My adult daughter and I recently returned from a 4 night stay. I am recovering from surgery so had booked a room with a separate living room as I am still not sleeping through the night and did not want to wake my daughter whilst she was sleeping. This room provided us with a lot of additional space which was very welcome. The hotel is right beside the U Bahn making it easy to travel anywhere. The room has a fridge and there is a supermarket on the same street so we were able to buy and store snacks. Tea/coffee and complimentary drinks were available from reception after the first night and reception stay were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Bathrobes were also available from reception on request. The area felt very safe.     Good Location But Wouldn't Go Back

    The location of the hotel is very central; it is easy to walk everywhere and there is a good access to public transportation. Although an older building and dated facilities, the hotel is very well maintained and clean.We stayed for six nights and found the check-in process to be smooth and efficient. Our room was located on the 7th floor. Upon arrival, the room was noticeably hot, with outside temperatures reaching 32°C, and unfortunately, the air conditioning was not functioning. Although a fan was provided, it would not have been sufficient had the high temperatures continued. We were fortunate that the weather cooled down for the remainder of the week.The room was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and it was cleaned the following day. However, starting from the third day of our stay, we noticed that the room had not been serviced at all. We had to contact reception to request rubbish removal and a quick bathroom clean. This issue persisted for the rest of our stay. While we are unsure of the reason, we were surprised that in a 4-star hotel, daily cleaning was not provided as a standard service, and that we had to follow up with reception to arrange it.Additionally, the complimentary coffee, tea, and water in the room were not replenished after the first day. It was only later that we were informed we needed to request refills daily at reception. We found this to be an unwelcoming approach, especially as most budget accommodations in Europe, let alone 4-star hotels, would typically offer automatic refills of such amenities as a basic gesture of hospitality. Requiring guests to request these items each day feels inconvenient and, frankly, a bit inhospitable.The breakfast at 24 Eur per person seems a bit too costly for what it offers.The hotel does not offer its own parking facilities.     The hotel is a budget hotel. Very dated. The staff are friendly and accommodating but I wanted some ice for my drinks and apparently this is not something that the hotel does!.     This was an unexpected last minute booking for one night . A good choice. I liked the location - very close to the Ubahn and plenty of riverside restaurants and bars nearby. The room was very clean and comfortable. I liked the touch of two free bottles of water and two bottles of beer. The reception staff were extremely helpful in printing out emails on my behalf. I would definitely return.
