    A nice hotel that is right next to Friedrichstrasse train station and well positioned for walking. It’s almost exactly halfway in between Museum Island and the Brandenburg Gate. Their breakfast was very good (we paid extra to include breakfast). We asked for a quiet room and we got one overlooking interior roof and courtyard.     Hotel is lovely, spotless, well positioned right by the main station (but our room on the 6th floor was beautifully quiet) and the breakfast is great, with lots of choice. We had a slight problem during the stay but the guest relations manager David Rickerson-Seidel, resolved it perfectly, a reall asset to the company.     They could’ve done better

    First, I would like to say that I am a frequent traveler to Germany between 2 to 3 times a year. First majority of the times I was a guest in NH hotels all over the country.This was my fourth visit in NH Friedrichstraße in berlin. I will start with positive review : the team were very friendly and smiling. In terms of location you honestly can’t ask for better location because it’s right in front of the train station that you can take you anywhere you want in the city and all the major facilities are within walking distance.When I received the room, they told me they cannot upgrade me due to current high demand, but they will give me €15 voucher instead to use in the bar (honestly I’m asking myself if this was the value of the upgrade) I was giving a room in the third floor, and in the end of the third of the hall. Carrying all my luggage towards the room and discovered that the key doesn’t work.. I have returned to the reception and the receptionist told me that she coded another woman by mistake, causing me to go with all my luggage again. I returned the reception later on with a question if I can exchange this voucher as I do not drink alcohol, my offer was to receive breakfast instead, The receptionist told me it is possible, but I will need to pay the difference between the voucher value and the breakfast price which is €11 difference. Of course I will not argue, but I’m asking myself if it was really necessary, to make an upsell on my account ? Breakfast are often given as compliment, courtesy or some sort of compensation and that means this charge was completely unnecessary especially when they see my status.Regarding the room, It was without no doubt the smallest room I’ve ever received in all my visits in hotels, the bed was small and incredibly uncomfortable, a week after I have returned, my back still hurts, the coffee machine was broken, and I have to say the overall experience did not met my expectations.
