  Great hotel, decent room, with separate bathroom with shower. Pillows felt full of air so not comfortable, duvets were short but personally I’m not used to single bed. Good variety of food everyday. Close to tram stops, takeaway places, pharmacy. Decor of the hotel reception is nice and retro. Great selection of breakfast, nice views if eating outside. It does take about 50 minutes on train and tram from Berlin Brandenburg airport so it is away from the city centre.   After a good year of absence I had the pleasure to stay in this hotel again. I found it newly branded and renovated. No comparison to the previous look and style. Modern with a fresh design clean and nice room with a big TV screen. Complimentary water and coffee bar was available. Looking forward for my next visit. Free wifi. When Designers & Interior Decorators Get Carried Away With Appearances ONLY!This hotel is the perfect example of the loss of the main reason, function and purpose of why hotels exist in the first place!!!The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous and there for business.However, from the lobby Sofas, Chairs and Bar Stools meant to only look good but are actually extremely uncomfortable to use to the soft Full Size Only Beds, the thin windows glazing, etc.. this hotel unfortunately is not meant to be a place of comfort nor relaxation. It appears that over the years, this Hotel Brand seemed to have lost their main purpose and reason of their own existence along with their patrons actual wants and needs in a hotel stay, unfortunately.The hotel’s interior finish-out is past due to receive a good and proper modern facelift, remodel and upgrade. Numerous of the common area walls, ceilings, elevator walls and especially carpeting and trim finish-out show signs of the year’s wear-and-tear and or damages. An other example is the floor carpeting show severe signs of spills and dirt buildup.From the poorly room sound insulation to what felt like an uninsulated floor to the outdoor floor overhang, this room was neither quiet nor comfortable to stay in. The floor close to the exterior wall and one meter into the room was always freezing cold even with the room heat on high. And the hvac could not be adjusted properly for a comfortable enough stay and sleep. So we had many sleepless nights during our two week stay here.Having booked the largest bed they had listed was unfortunately still only one small Full Size mattress to sleep on (two of them pushed against each other…). Beware, they do not have any larger beds than one single full size bed!!!Once again, the shower was in a standard enamel bathtub with the bottom of the tub being only enamel and extremely slippery when wet and even more so with soapy. However, when asked, the hotel did not provide any tub rubber mats to prevent slips, so we had to go out ourselves and purchase out of our own money a bathtub rubber Floor Mat in order to safely take a shower without seriously injuring ourselves due to slippage!! Once again style over substance & comfort & safety.The breakfast buffet was acceptable even though limited in variety of breakfast dishes served. But seemed to have numerous pre-processed and pre-packaged foods offered.The gym or rather fitness rooms, were scattered on three different small floor levels. The sauna, which you have to pay to use and is not included with your stay, was on its own on second floor level and locked. So to use all the facilities and equipment one had to climb three flights of stairs in order to be able to reach all the equipment need to use for a good workout..Having travelled thus far to over 52 countries and stayed at various hotels, this is one uncomfortable experience to remember..   Hotel is modern and clean. for the dates I stayed very reasonable. Staff are friendly and food and beer on point. If you want to go for a romantic walk, the location is perfect. Next to the river and loads of restaurants to choose from. my flight was cancelled, so enquiried about an extra night. Quoted at half the price of my 4 night stay, I was left mind blown and refused. Still when im returning to Berlin this will be the first hotel I will enquire about.   Rooms are clean and comfortable and wow what a fantastic choice for breakfast. Counter staff very helpful. Only disappointments were no English language TV available, news etc.No kettle to make tea or coffee in your room and no bar fridge otherwise good transport links at front door.
