In the historical heart of the city: an outstanding location next to the legendary Alexanderplatz, adjacent to the 368-m TV-Tower and close to the business and governmental district, as well as Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrasse boulevards. Within short walking distance guests will find numerous sights such as the AquaDom and Sealife, Nicolai Quarter, Hackesche Höfe, Museum Island and Brandenburg Gate. In addition, the hotel has excellent access to all public transportation (within 2 minutes' walk), and also provides parking facilities. Situated next to the hotel is the 'bcc' Berlin Congress Centre, which is within 2 minutes' walk and easy accessible from the hotel. Within 20 minutes the Berlin Airport Express takes guests non-stop to Schönefeld Airport.

Facility

The hotel has 23 suites, 92 single rooms and 897 double rooms, which are located on 39 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     I am still in hotel whilst writing.The Hotel has a good location and is situated almost next to the TV Tower. It has 37 floors. We arrived early and was charged €2 bag to leave them till 3pm booking in time! Our room originally was on 30th floor but sink would not drain, reluctantly I got an offer of a room change. On return to out room next day our room had not been cleaned. They have button that needs to be pressed to ask for cleaning!!! My wife eventually managed to get a green light to have the room done BUT it was not . 2 visits to reception at 8pm told it cannot be done! Very disappointing. Also room thermometer does very little, our room not particularly warm.The rooms are small and have glass partitions for shower and toilet not particularly private.I have stayed in hotels all my working life and this fall way below 4 star standard and I struggle to find much to recommend.

    Strange room cleaning system

    The sink in the room was blocked and did not drain and after waiting three hours for maintenance to fix this we requested a change of room. In the new room we pressed the button (their unique system of requesting a room clean) well before the designated 11am the following morning requesting our room to be cleaned and after being out all day until 8pm found no cleaner had serviced the room. Their system DID NOT WORK. We then asked for a cleaner and were told it was not possible. Instead we were offered fresh towels. We are most disappointed. We booked this hotel to return each day to a freshly cleaned room as in all other hotels. A strange system to adopt possibly resulting in many uncleared rooms?

    Hotel has a brilliant location, but too industrial.

    This is the largest hotel I have stayed at and would probably now choose a smaller one, as certain things were just a bit too industrial.The location is absolutely fantastic and there are some nice restaurants nearby.We arrived at 12.30 am and the lady who checked us in was very nice and helpful, as were all the staff we dealt with.We had a corner room on floor 22, which had a brilliant view. It was a nice room, 2 single beds were pushed together, the beds and quilts were very comfortable. The room was very quiet.Please be aware that the bathroom has a glass wall, so you need to slide the curtain over for privacy. I wasn't a fan of the white button system for having your room cleaned. It was after 11am before I pressed it (we actually couldn't find it, but it was on the mirror in the bathroom!), meaning we had to wait a further 2 days before it was cleaned. I asked Reception for clean towels and these were brought up very quickly.I have read a lot of good reviews about the breakfast, but I was very disappointed in it. I always prefer a hot breakfast, but the eggs were horrible. It was like cutting a hard cake to get some, apart from the first morning when they were lovely and soft. The rashers of bacon were mainly just greasy fat and very little bacon. There were no croissants or pastries, it was just bread and rolls. A lot could be done to improve this, but the hotel is catering for so many guests and this really makes it feel very industrial.     Amazing location and friendly staff. Room size was good.Right in the heart of Alexandarplatz.     Location was very convenient.Room temperature was very hot in summer, called technicians over but still didn't resolve the issues.Pillows was extremely soft which was very uncomfortable.Shower pressure was very reduced when using the basin tap simultaneously.
