    Very pleasant convenient hotel

    Very comfortable and well equipped room. Quiet! Contacted hotel before arrival requesting quiet room and they delivered overlooking inner courtyard. Excellent shower although not large. Bedside tables very small and phone charging only one side of bed. There’s a REWE supermarket and cafe in the shopping centre diagonally opposite. Check in flawless and professional.

    A very nice hotel! Friendly staff and great breakfast. The sausages and eggs were perfect. You can make your own juice and waffles. A very large selection of choices! Placed near Potsdamer Platz and we took a train to the airport. Very easy. I recommend it

    Spent 3 nights at The Scandic. Super clean and efficient. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely standard room with very comfortable bed and mini fridge. Breakfast was excellent. So much choice and all organic. A visit to the bar is a must. Will definitely return.

    Poor customer service response to force majeure circumstances

    I have not yet stayed at this hotel, as my visit was cancelled due to circumstances entirely beyond my control. I am leaving this review solely to document my experience with the hotel's customer service.I am an Australian traveller who booked 5 nights to attend my son's performance with a his Youth Orchestra at the Berlin Philharmonie. The orchestra's Easter European tour was postponed after Emirates cancelled flights through Dubai due to the ongoing Middle East conflict.I made a modest request: a credit note — not a refund — to apply toward a rebooked stay in December 2026 when the tour is rescheduled. The hotel would have retained my full payment.Over several weeks I sent multiple emails, all met with the same templated response citing booking conditions. Requests to escalate to a General Manager were ignored or deflected, and the final response came from a Reservations Manager who repeated the same position.The location near the Philharmonie is excellent, and I cannot comment on the rooms or facilities. However, prospective guests, particularly international travellers booking for specific events, should factor in that this hotel does not appear to exercise any discretion in exceptional circumstances.In light of world difficulties at present and the fact that they would have easily rebooked my room over the easter holidays, it would have been nice if they had exercised some compassion.
